Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte II | DAZN PPV - OFF
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte II | DAZN PPV - 12 August 2023
Well I refuse to subscribe to Dazn anyway , so i will not be getting it , even if it was free , which it won't be , PPV for this more chance of that proverbial pig flying , whats that leave , stream it on the computer somewher , just could'nt be arsed , i assume its going to be sunday morning our time , , If i get up and its nice , i'd rather jump on my bike and go for a ride , If its cold , i'll grab a coffee and shove some of the grandkids cartoons on , be pretty much the same , a big joke , not has big has the Fury - Chisora joke or the Fury - Novice joke , , BUT a big joke and massive payday for them joke regardless .
Some of you might not mind AJ and Whyte , led by Hearn taking the piss and stealing your money ,but me NAAARGH , I've decided unless its top guys fighting top guys i am NEVER GONNA PAY OR WASTE MY TIME AGAIN .
a dirty great big FOOOOK YOU , to the whole heavyweight scene , worst time in history , its just littered with WHO will not fight WHO .
Only guys with any balls and gumption unfortunatly are the lower teir guys and the over matched over payed , punchbags Chisora and Whyte

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte II | DAZN PPV - 12 August 2023
That’s a pisstake if correct. For those people who only want to watch the fight then they’d have to pay £19.99 for the month and £26.99 for the fight. Not happening for most casuals.garethhop wrote: ↑02 Aug 2023, 11:34 I only found out today that the £26.99 price tag is in ADDITION to a DAZN subscription.
So for your £9.99 a month (locked in for 12 months) basically just gets you a Nxtgen show in August?
Must be the youtube stuff and their subscribers keeping the thing going in this country surely?

I paid the £100 up front and have had pretty good value so far I think but I do watch all of the US shows.gregregegg wrote: ↑02 Aug 2023, 22:30 This is why paying the 100 upfront was insane…
I pay in Aus and get fornicate allll from matchroom. Hoping to get this fight free but guessing it will be ppv. Random golden boy cards is where I get some of my dazn pennies back
If someone is subbing just for U.K. shows then it’s not worth it.

Derek Chisora will reportedly be facing Gerald Washington in the main portion of the Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte 2 card.
Chisora (33-13, 23 KOs) is a guy that has been around forever, and throwing him on the card against the 41-year-old Washington (20-5-1, 13 KOs) could entice the fence sitters to order the Joshua-Whyte II event.

I used to subscribe to DAZN but cancelled out of principle when they announced PPV and have never gone back.
£100 for a year isn’t too bad value when looked at in isolation, but having to pay up front is a total pisstake when you have zero guarantees over quality or quantity. And making the ad-hoc monthly charge so expensive, especially when coupled with an additional PPV charge, is just absurd. Their model is clearly unsustainable.

So existing subscribers locked in for the 12 months will be paying more for the month’s content compared with someone dipping in for one month?! Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte II | DAZN PPV - 12 August 2023
Trouble is we were used to the Matchroom cards being on SKY and it didn't matter if the odd show stank as you had all the other stuff like football to compensate. Now on the DAZN you're paying 20 quid or the 100 quid a year for hardly anything decent and then PPV costs on top, no wonder they're struggling to make it work.

Where's all the people who were defending DAZN and didn't have a problem with them encouraging people to pay up front, before then announcing a Sky channel!

The lads like Hands Of Stone or Maverick who have it, they paid the £100 and they actually watch all the cards I believe.. So for them it's money worth..Frostieballs wrote: ↑03 Aug 2023, 10:15 Where's all the people who were defending DAZN and didn't have a problem with them encouraging people to pay up front, before then announcing a Sky channel!
The pp.'s don't help. Unsure if they're paying extra for them.

I paid for Canelo/GGG last year through gritted teeth but the AJ fight would have been the first DAZN PPV I’d have bought since paying the £100.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑03 Aug 2023, 10:45The lads like Hands Of Stone or Maverick who have it, they paid the £100 and they actually watch all the cards I believe.. I’m seeing at a friends though so he’ll pay for it (he gets DAZN free as one of his cousins works for Perform Group) and I’ll pay for the chinese.

Will you be able to watch AJ-Whyte in pubs for free in the UK? That's where we watch most of the big fights here in Australia. Bugger paying PPV.

That’s what they’re saying , rest of card may still go ahead .

That explains the lack of promotion in part then. I thought something was up.
Matchroom having a disastrous time.
