I went to bed early and actually got up when the hardy fight was on, Jake smacked Diaz around for the first few rounds, Diaz has some good moments when Jake caught his breath , but constantly run s forward into counters, even covering his face a t times, and bowling forward into uppercuts. got flooded heavily and stunned several times, had his few McGregor 2 said moments where Paul looked to be struggling with the pace, but overall Paul wins, shows a few nice moves but also not much variety yet

Diaz was pretty crap, and most of his punches were arm punches. Paul KSI seems most logical next or another washed up MMA fighter.

"Boxing is easier than a real fight" Diaz

Time for MMA fighters to lose the insecure attitude, they're kinda like the pro wrestlers in a way feeling they have to overcompensate

right we get it, MMA is more multifaceted than boxing but it is still a sport with rules, not a real fight, had a square go with a hood last week and I broke my already surgically repaired right hand on his face, he tried to headbutt me (illegal in MMA), he tried to throttle me and I gouged at his eye (illegal in MMA), then his brother joined in they dragged me to the floor, after two boots to the head (illegal in Unified rules)I cover up my head sitting in an upwards position , the brother leans his elbow on the back of my neck and (I saw the CCTV footage after, I thought it was maybe a few kicks that broke a rib) he just machine gun punches my kidneys about 15 times (illegal in boxing and MMA) , thankfully this was in a public road so people intervened before they kicked me to death, the guy whose face I busted is a heroin dealer who threw acid in a guys face over owed money. pissing blood

That was a "real fight" and then as Paul Malignaggi said when the knives (acid)and guns start coming out of doesn't matter who's better on the bag or rolling on the floor

This is what windbag Dana gets for dangling a carrot and throwing in a broke James Toney to Randy Couture all those years ago to prove a point

One thing Paul deserves props for is fighting a 10 rounder in his 8th fight, not many do

Enjoyed watching the highlights this morning, seemed like a good battle. Whether I’d have appreciated the full 30 minute version quite so much, I’ll never know.

I love Nate Diaz, but it’s fair to say that he has spent the bulk of the last few years fighting exactly as he did against Paul (albeit with the occasional kick, slap and grapple on the canvas thrown in). So in that respect, it was a decent win for Jake Paul, within the world he is operating.

I do laugh when mma fighters say “it’s not a real fight anyway” like they haven’t been punched in the face continuously for ten rounds and dropped. He certainly looked Like he’d been in a “real fight” afterwards, albeit not with a “real fighter”. They continuously knock the sport but are happy for the payday.

And yeah, Conor started all that “real fight” bollox (yet isn’t the same man and hasn’t been since his one “pro” boxing match). Competing in a pre organised match fight is far removed from a proper violent encounter.

Paul is doing well, and lives the life, I rate him as a real fighter

Obv he gets paid more, and gets more publicity than his talent suggests, but then so does Johnny Fisher.
