Re: Howard Davis jr. Vs Ray Lampkin
I wonder if Howard Davis could give the great Roberto Duran and Esteban De Jesus a tough fight like Ray Lampkin did.
Ray Lampkin by decision. Something about Howard Davis is that when the nitty gritty is in play, he folds for some reason. There's no way that he should have lost to Jim Watt. To me, he was better boxer than Watt, but skills is not the only factor to be a great or very good boxer. There's something called mental aptitude. It looks like Davis lacked that. Watt was stronger mentally.

Davis did have a disappointing pro career, though some of it was bad luck. Davis did beat Vilomar Fernandez, Claude Noel, Tony Baltizar, and Greg Coverson. Not legends but good fighters. Lampkin never beat anyone worth mentioning at all.
When it doubt, go with the more proven commodity, who in this case would be Davis.

And Duran as always, showed a lot of class after the fight.

“I was not in my best condition. Today I sent him to the hospital." Totally Duran.Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑29 Jul 2023, 17:27 And Duran as always, showed a lot of class after the fight.

Of course, I hated him. Despicable human being.
You didn't have the whole quote. It was "I was not in my best condition. Today I sent him to the hospital. Next time I’ll put him in the morgue."
Saying that you are going to put a guy in the morgue who was in serious condition isn't funny. That's being an a$$hole.
This guy unexpectedly game him a much tougher fight than expected. Does Duran show some class and say the guy gave him a tough fight? No. It's the lame excuse of "I wasn't in my best condition."

LOL! Yeah, we've all seen you rant before about how horrible Duran is. Never an opportunity passes you by.Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 11:23 Of course, I hated him. Despicable human being.

Let me know specifically with what you disagree with.
Re: Howard Davis jr. Vs Ray Lampkin
you and your 'personal' beefs. Fighters are fighters. I rate them as fighters. I don't rate them as human beings. It's a sport. Put some lanoline on your butt for christ's sake.

Oh please. Not every fighter is a tool. You can be a great fighter and show some class.

Of course. Difference is to me they are fighters. I judged them as fighters. How do they fight. You complicate wet dreams.Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑02 Aug 2023, 19:06 Oh please. Not every fighter is a tool. You can be a great fighter and show some class.
