Duddy’s fight with Smichet was wild from what I remember.

This was a cracker as well, Duddy was always good value, Campas gave him hell, he was ancient then and is fighting end of the month believe it or not

Crazy. I wonder if Campas will be the last fighter to end his career with over a hundred fights and a winning record.

How did you find them

Michalczewski is a fighter I've wanted to go back and watch a bit of but never got round to.

I just know him and the guy who Jones Jr didn't face

I've generally always been impressed with Michalczewski but he took a dive against Rocchigiani in the 1st fight, Rocchigiani hit him on the break with a pretty decent punch in all fairness but he started the wrestling theatrics, he ended up going down after about 15 seconds then the ref for some reason gave him a count, Michalczewski managed to beat it but collapsed to the ropes and ref waved it, instead of giving Rocchigiani the win, it was ruled a DQ, it was an illegal punch no doubt but the ref should've gave Michalczewski 5 minutes to recover, Michalczewski's play acting was pathetic and I seen enough there to suggest he didn't have the heart to hang with Jones Jr

Tbf Michalczewski dealt with Rocchigiani in the rematch

That is the one that is hard to figure. Look at all of the quality opponents that Lockridge took on. And the one guy that stopped him was Juan LaPorte. LaPorte was a good fighter, but not the guy you would think would have been the one to stop Lockridge.

Shane Mosley vs Phillip Holiday
Unfortunately for Holiday he was only a top, world-class fghter.....facing a truly special-gifted fighter.

Some of those smaller, white South African dudes were properly feckin' tough SOBs.....it was not all about the big guys like Sanders and Coetzee.....Holiday being a prime example.
