It's definitely a potential banana skin for sure.gilgamesh wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 14:11It could definitely happen. I think he needs to gun for a 1st or 2nd round KO of Helenius, but even so he need be in no rush about it.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 14:07 Do you think there is any danger of AJ trying to match Wilder, running straight in for a quick KO and then getting smacked himself? I could see it.
He needs to just take his time, pick his spot and land the bomb. Helenius will give him the opening within 6 minutes, so there's no need to rush and potentially walk into something.
Helenius may be fragile, but he can legitimately crack, and AJ isn't exactly made of granite himself.

I would say yes in some ways however if he goes long for the rounds - then the wilder crowd come out of their holes and start saying ah he didnt ko him in the same fashion blah blah .
If he ko`s him too quick then helenius was shot .... and that doesnt count either .
AJ will always attract some hate .

This is looking like one of those Kushner “Heavyweight Explosion” cards.

Too true. All the social media commenters are just background noise IMO.stevec@france wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 14:16I would say yes in some ways however if he goes long for the rounds - then the wilder crowd come out of their holes and start saying ah he didnt ko him in the same fashion blah blah .

A confidence builder will be a good thing for AJ
He won't need rounds for Wilder, it will be a shoot out.
Furthermore the 2 beatings he took from Fury will have put a lot of miles on the clock.

Matchroom started negotiating with Helenius’ team before his fight. But Helenius and his trainer were never told about the offer until after.

At least the bill will be going ahead and we get to see some boxing .

Not sure if it's been mentioned but it's somehow only just dawned on me Helenius fought the weekend just gone.

Helenius is a weird choice... Its going to be hard to do it better than wilder did.
Id rather get a crack at chisora and have a flattering comparason to Fury. (chis is tough but i think a whyte camp would have you fairly ready for him).
or pull out. heli just seems like a no win fight.

AXS making it really difficult to get refunds. Over a thousand have managed it so far. Hopefully Johnny Fisher supporters can sell it out.

Ade talking where the sun don't shine. There's OVER a THOUSAND tickets available
Anthony Joshua is wearing boots which give him an extra 3 inches, that's why they look the same height.
See the weigh in on Friday and Helenius will be wayyy taller.
Odds are funny lol.

What did you think about Chisora saying fighters failing PED tests should be banned for 10 years? If applied, Fury's 'Wildboar' situation would have meant years in the wilderness.quickeyg wrote: ↑09 Aug 2023, 09:21 Ade talking where the sun don't shine. There's OVER a THOUSAND tickets available

Incidentally, if you are saying that Uysk punches are like pillowcase hits, will it be tough for BT/TNT Sports to sell Uysk vs Dubois? How do you have such a low opinion of Uysk but have to sell his next fight? Is it hard to reconcile?

That KO looked very suspicious.gregregegg wrote: ↑09 Aug 2023, 03:50 Helenius is a weird choice... Its going to be hard to do it better than wilder did.
I doubt he will lay down quite so easily for Joshua .. I see Helenius turning up just to survive and making Joshua look even worse.

Add to the fact AJ doesn't punch nearly as hard, that's a great shout!tonyevs wrote: ↑09 Aug 2023, 12:05That KO looked very suspicious.gregregegg wrote: ↑09 Aug 2023, 03:50 Helenius is a weird choice... Its going to be hard to do it better than wilder did.

I’ve just seen a couple of pubs on the High Street, which haven’t been showing Joshua’s fights lately, but used to, are now advertising this one, which is great to see.
obviously they’ve worked out how to use DAZN.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Robert Helenius | DAZN - 12 August 2023 - He can sell anything and mugs will buy it.
What did he contradict himself on?
Most thought Chisora did beat Helenius.
Helenius is probably past his best.
It could be a dangerous fight for a gunshy AJ. I don’t think so but I also thought AJ would have dealt with Franklin better than he did.
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Robert Helenius | DAZN - 12 August 2023
Will Eddie ask AJ to hold Helenius up for a few rounds?
Don't buy this idea that AJ is somehow scared to throw heavy.

Big Bobby H is going to spark AJ and hopefully it's the last we'll see of The Humble One.

I don’t think he’s scared to throw heavy but he’s certainly not looking for that knockout as much post Ruiz 1 as he was when was looking great before that.

He's tiny as well. Frampton looks like a giant next to him. He must squeal with delight when next to the Gypsy King with his face at the same level as GK's crotch.
