Not long to purse bids.
And you know here both sides ain’t pulling out and ain’t doing no deals so we get to see how much the purse will be.

Wardley vs Adeleye purse bids today.
Frank tends to love a purse bid so will be interesting to see where it lands.
I also wonder whether Boxxer will have a go for it to try and help facilitate a possible Clarke fight. Stranger things have happened.

If Boxxer lose the purse bid, I hope Wardley doesn't vacate.

Boxxer don’t promote either fighter. Warren’s got Adeleye and Eddie’s got Wardley.Black Sam Bellamy wrote: ↑09 Aug 2023, 02:59 If Boxxer lose the purse bid, I hope Wardley doesn't vacate.

I wonder if Dillian Whyte being Wardley’s manager will have any impact on Eddies interest in this fight, especially as Fabio isn’t under contract with him. I would be surprised if BrickTop doesn’t bid aggressively and wins it as he needs to deliver these type of fights to TNT.

I think both will bid fairly heavy on this. No purse bid today. Sounds like they’re close to a deal and the Whyte stuff may have impacted Wardley’s position with Matchroom.

That’s interesting - If I was Fabio I would be looking for some security of a promotional contract, especially if he loses.maverick23 wrote: ↑09 Aug 2023, 07:20 No purse bid today. Sounds like they’re close to a deal and the Whyte stuff may have impacted Wardley’s position with Matchroom.

I’d imagine both parties have requested some extra time from the board as a deal is close.

Frazer Clarke Wants Fabio Wardley Showdown Next, Says Shalom
Heavyweight Frazer Clarke is still eager for a fight with Fabio Wardley for the British heavyweight title.
According to Clarke's promoter Ben Shalom of Boxxer, the winner would be in the mix for major opportunities in the weight class.
They were in line to fight each other last year, but a scheduled purse bid was called off at the last minute. Since then, Clarke has picked up wins over Mariusz Wach and David Allen, and now wants Wardley.
"At the time there was a lot made of that purse bid and Frazer Clarke hadn't had the rounds, hadn't had the experience in the professional game. We believe that Mariusz Wach fight, that 10 rounds, he'll have learned a lot. He then fought Dave Allen, which was his highest profile fight to date. We have to make that fight next. I believe Fabio wants it next as well. I do expect it to happen," Shalom told Sky Sports.
If Shalom has his way, he would like to get that fight in order for a date in the next two to three months.
"Frazer's looking to be back February or March and we hope it's going to be Fabio Wardley. I think that's the fight that both fighters want, that's the fight that the promoters want and the networks want so I expect it to happen," Shalom said.
"February, March, even early April we'll see. Talks are ongoing with all the teams. I know both fighters want that fight to be next so I'm sure we'll see it early next year.
"It's the right time and it's a huge fight for British boxing. It's a huge fight for the heavyweight scene. A lot of people believe Fabio Wardley can win, Obviously a lot of people believe that Frazer can win so that's what makes a great fight at the right time and I'm looking forward to it. It's one to look out."
Wardley, last October in Saudi Arabia, picked up a big stoppage win over David Adeleye as part of the undercard to Tyson Fury's crossover boxing match with Francis Ngannou.

Re: Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke | Sky Sports - 31 March 2024

Press Release
Unbeaten heavyweight rivals Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke collide in a ‘Bad Blood’ showdown for the British and Commonwealth Titles on Sunday, March 31st at The O2 in London, live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland and Peacock in the USA.
Reigning champion Wardley (17-0, 16 KOs) is on an incredible 16-fight KO streak, which has seen him steamroll his way through the domestic division. The 29-year-old from Ipswich looked at his devastating best last time out when dismantling David Adeleye on the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou undercard on October 28th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Tokyo 2020 Olympic Bronze Medallist Clarke (8-0, 6 KOs) is just eight fights into his promising professional career. Last year, ‘Big Fraze’ banked ten valuable rounds against former world title challenger Mariusz Wach before retiring domestic rival David Allen in the sixth-round to continue his unbeaten run.
Wardley and Clarke have been on a collision course as both men look to establish themselves as the number one heavyweight in Britain. Their simmering rivalry reached boiling point following a cancelled purse bid last year.
Clarke was ordered as mandatory challenger for Wardley’s Lonsdale belt in April but was later withdrawn from purse bids. The fallout sparked a series of tense exchanges between the warring heavyweights and has added serious spite to their Bank Holiday Super Sunday showdown.
Fabio Wardley said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be headlining what will be a massive show at the iconic O2 Arena, I’ve fought there a lot before so it’s like a home away from home for me. As a seasoned former Olympian, Frazer Clarke is definitely the most well-schooled boxer I’ll have ever faced, but there’s some lessons you can’t learn in school… And I've got more than enough firepower in my arsenal to lay him flat on his back, just like all my other opponents.”
Frazer Clarke said: “Finally, the fight that I wanted and the fight that the British public wanted. The talking is over, it’s here. Headlining the O2 Arena for the British and Commonwealth Titles is something I’ve dreamed of. I’m ready to take out Fabio Wardley and bring the titles back to Burton upon Trent. There’s been a lot of back and forth but now we can settle it like men.”
Having faced off in the ring before Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez’s light heavyweight final eliminator, Wardley and Clarke will come face-to-face again at a launch press conference on Wednesday, February 7th in London.

Re: Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke | Sky Sports - 31 March 2024
I like this fight, but surely this fight isnt big enough to headline the 02 areana.
Nice move from fraze doging this, getting 10 + 6 decent rounds in first and getting it come back to him....
Undercard will have to be supurb to even be half full, buti guess everyone else is massivly negleting london boxing, so theres a nice oppertunity here to swoop in.
