Talksport - White and Jordan. Eddie Hearn as guest.

Currently listening to this. It's like a couple of schoolchildren squabbling. Hearn in particular.

One thing that came to light is the guy in charge of the BBBofC doesn't know the difference between Friday and Saturday.

Did Robert Smith dial in? I listened to the first 10mins and Jordan was accusing Eddie of lying about this and that Robert Smith had told him he had a conversation with Frank Smith on the Friday whilst Eddie was saying he only found out about Whyte’s drug test failure on the Saturday.

Either Simon or Eddie called Smith in the ad break and he confirmed that he hadn't contacted anyone until Saturday. Simon didn't apologize, but Eddie did it for him.

Only watched first 15 minutes but Simon Jordan coming across as bitter and a bit of a bitch, I know he's usually pretty straight talking but he flustered and making false statements, strikes me as someone who knows they got their arse handed to them last time and is desperate to get revenge but is instead coming off as a laughing stock, pretty pathetic to watch, I like him usually but the posh voice and big words mask a lot, at one point they were discussing something he knew he was losing so started banging on about Eddie inheriting his dads business, he's taking a big L here, still early days mind, I'll watch the rest later

It’s a bit difficult to watch this because Jordan comes across as having a very personal dislike of Hearn that clouds his reasoning. He’s so desperate to prove Hearn is full of it (which we already know)that he actually loses the plot totally.

Yeah. The only way to properly deal with Eddie is being calm and dealing with the facts. Jordan got too flustered and focused on pedantics I.E. disputing when Matchroom found out about the Whyte failure and also saying it was 48 hours or so where they tried to keep the Benn fight on after the board withdrew their backing. Eddie’s already said in the past they shouldn’t have done so but said it wasn’t 48 hours and it was more like 24 hours.

I wish he had simply asked Eddie, ‘was the reason Benn’s ban has been lifted down to jurisdiction or was it due to the science presented showing evidence he didn’t intentionally cheat’.

Too occupied with calling Eddie a snake oil salesman and trying to get his own back, he instead fell into the same trap as last time due to getting flustered and not properly getting focusing on what Eddie’s saying.

Eddie is a proper wind up merchant and guys like Jordan and Warren fall for it every time and just end up exploding which is what Hearn wants.

I also thought that it’s strange that Jordan seemingly has a direct line to Robert Smith. Why is Smith speaking to Jordan about Whyte’s drug test failure?

I know it's different but I've seen people get away with sh1t because the people who were meant to be keeping sh1t confidential blabbed to someone they shouldn't have.

Imagine if Smith goes and blabs something that Whyte can sue for.

Jordan.? He’s talking to someone.
Hearn just puts up rhetoric bs

Come on now. Hearn is a great promoter. And a great teller.

Questions asked. And not answered. That’s the crux.

All Jordan is trying to do hold people like Heaven,Warren and the board accountable. 95% of boxing journos do not question anything through fear of being frozen out. That's not journalism

That might be the case, but he's absolutely terrible at it - That's because he likes the sound of his own voice too much and is too busy looking for a gotcha moment instead of keeping the questioning simple and direct. He should cut the word salad out too, it's painful to listen to him getting bogged down in his own verbal diarrhoea.

He got caught caught red handed bullshitting in the Hearn interview and had to retract it pretty sharpish when Hearn brought him up on it. That's not holding anyone to account. Strikes me as a man a bit too quick off the mark to promote hearsay as fact.

Talking about accountability, I Wonder if he mentioned Ricky burns to Warren in that interview.

It was like listening to two schoolkids mouthing off at each other. Not a big fan of either but thought Eddie nicked it mainly due to Simon cocking up with the Friday/Saturday notification of Whyte’s failed drugs test. He then failed to accept graciously he was wrong. Disappointed they just talked over each other so much as well.

I’ll give it a listen. I doubt he mentioned what the judge said about the honesty of his evidence.

Yup and unsurprisingly Frank didn’t mention Ricky Burns either and Jordan just moved on.

The sad thing is that Jordan will probably think he did give Frank a hard time.
