I am yet to meet a Conor Benn fan but it is possible they exist.

If/when he ever fights again it will be interesting to hear the crowd's reaction toward him.

I imagine there will be a decent TV audience for his next contest mainly through curiosity.
The reason for the post was hearing him say 'what the fans want' over and over. I have never really thought 'the fans' give a fq what he is upto as of yet.

He's completely reinventing the past! He said yesterday he's can't wait to start knocking out top class opposition at sold out arenas up and down the country AGAIN.

Sounds like the board will be/is appealing the ruling. I don’t know how that impacts the suspension but wouldn’t be a good look to have him fight in the U.K. with it still rumbling on.

Eddie’s said a few times that the board has the right to appeal. Obviously that’s not to say it’s 100% fact but I’d be surprised if it isn’t. Is that not the case?

Sadly amongst casuals he probably does have fans whose number will have been swelled by the drug case.

Many of the hardcore on here have in depth knowledge of the sometimes complex legal and pharmaceutical ins and outs of Benn’s situation and see him for what he almost certainly is - a drug cheat

Casuals on the other hand are only vaguely aware of the charges and probably pay more attention to the headline friendly “I’m innocent” / “he’s been cleared” quotes by Eddie and Conor and as such will probably wish him well in any comeback fight

It’s a strange old world

Casuals forgive drug cheats or just simply don't know. Main case in point: Tyson Fury

Does he have a lot of fans? Is that what people want to see?
Fans in the PED business, one of their best customers allegedly.

It’s 32:50 into this where it’s discussed. He says the board but could be using the board and UKAD interchangeably.

This was from the board’s statement when Benn announced he’d been ‘cleared’….

"The BBBofC is not able to comment on the proceedings between UKAD and Mr Benn due to confidentiality restrictions. We refer to the statement issued by UK Anti-Doping found at statement from UK Anti-Doping on Conor Benn VADA test | UK Anti-Doping (ukad.org.uk).

"As set out therein, we wish to reconfirm that the UK Anti-Doping Rules which apply to those proceedings provide all relevant parties, including the BBBofC, with a right of appeal. The BBBofC takes all anti-doping matters extremely seriously and is considering the exercise of its rights pursuant to the Rules.‘

So the board could definitely be appealing it.

Thanks.
That’s the first time I’ve heard reference to the possibility of the BBBoC appealing, I’ve heard him say UKAD a couple of times.
Ozzy Osbourne actually says UKAD and Hearn brings up the BBBoC, although he also says ‘WBC found that it was food not chemicals’ which Conor Benn immediately rubbished.
I wouldn’t expect the BBBoC to appeal, they need to remain, ahem, ‘impartial’.
