Does anyone know if this over 12 or 10 rounds? I know boxrec has it 12, but Baluta referenced 'being prepared 10 rounds' in an interview this week. Dev Sahni unhelpfully didn't mention the number of rounds at weigh in today.

They have sparred plenty so I doubt FW would have made the fight if it was too dangerous

Maybe he meant he’ll finish it in 10 rounds.

I rate McCann he's a hardy wee fighter, got good technical skills and a good boxing brain for a kid but think all involved might be making a mistake here, big risk and Baluta will test him, I fancy Baluta to stop McCann late here, if it comes off fair play and I hope it does, I like McCann, he's got something about him but he's still young, just won the Commonwealth, he could've defended that, not sure this is a clever move, great for us though

Do you think the fact that they sparred over 100 rounds and McCann was the one who pushed for the fight means anything? He obviously feels confident after the sparring but a fight under the lights is a totally different story. That amount of sparring definitely affects the fight for me. If they had never sparred, I'd be on Baluta and I still will be at the price but McCann has seen a lot of Baluta now. The same can be said for Baluta though.

Can someone explain to a simpleton how to watch this? I had free BT sport but it’s not on the schedule…. Searching on the net and here it says it’s on TNT Sports…. Which seems to be available through Discovery +….. WTF? I am confused. I get free Bt Sports through my mobile deal.

How and will I be able to watch it? Will my BT subscription allow me to view on Discovery+?

I thought BT Sports had just rebranded to TNT?

EDIT - SORRY I FOUND IT ON BT. The live schedule wasn’t showing it, which is odd as other event after 7pm are shown. Very confusing.

Well that’s what I thought. But the branding hasn’t changed on my BT App, there isn’t a TNT app available (just box office) and if you go to TNT’s website it says that in order to watch TNT you need to get Discovery plus, so it really isn’t that simple or clear. 👍🏼

ya that stood out to me, got the sense mccann is very confident based on their sparring and pushed for the fight knowing how those sessions went. i know its only sparring but does give an extra lean toward mccann

How many FW televised cards start with a feather fisted prospect against a 'teak tough' foreign journeyman for a 60-54 mood killer?

Good info as always Mags - :salut: - not sure it makes much difference.

McCann could be over-confident, Ionut better fighter than sparrer and suchlike..
