Felix Trinidad: One of the greatest punchers?

Post by TexMex04 »

Ive never seen anyone, other than Rocky Marciano, punch like Felix Trinidad. His left hook is the defenition of one punch knockout. Its unbelievable how a small figured fighter like him carried so much power. Whats more unbelievable is how he carried his power from 140 to 160. I hope he fights again, he made some incredible fights and hes fun to watch.

Trinidad was a vicious puncher, one of the better punchers of the last 20 years, but there have been many who hit harder.

Thanks a lot for that very awful visual! Aside from that how are you feeling?

As to the upload...I had seen it before, but hadn't checked it out on youtube...can a person download it and save it? Good upload though...Satterfield was one of the most exciting fighters ever...guys like him, Danny Lopez, Eric Boon and yes Arturo Gatti give us some of the most exciting, unexpected thrills ever.

Who is more entertaining than Satterfield with just their fists? Oh and their lack of defense...... I have a question. Did this guy really have a suspect chin or do we have that perception because he left the door open so much? He got nailed with his opponents best shots better than anyone I've seen. It's always a roller coaster ride to see watch this guy. Cuz he was always bringin' it and didnt' seem much too concerned with what the opponent might have in store for him.

I would have to say Danny Lopez, but it's pretty much a toss up.

Satterfield did have a pretty weak chin...he was dropped countless times throughout his career by numerous opponents. But on occasion he was able to stand up to some of the hardest of punchers and not lose...go down, but get up to win.

I don't think his chin was nearly as bad as say, Jeremy Williams, or Tommy Morrison, but there was certainly more china than concrete in his chin.

Another couple of fighters that I just thought of that fits that mold of fighter is "Bombardier" Billy Wells and Peter Maher...an opponent either knocked them out, or they knocked the opponent out. I think all of Wells defeats were by KO.

I saw it Brocky, thanks. It’s always fun to watch a Satterfield fight. Are you going to be posting any other Baker fights?

It’s often that jerks like you always judge people on whether they black or white. I don’t, and I couldn’t care less who is black ,white or any other race for that matter, all I care is his ability as a boxer in which I see no relation to race. Get a life you scumbag. Trinidad was one of the best punchers of last twenty years and I don’t need your approval for that, because it is a fact whether you like it or not. So go get your drink and get a life. You are pretending that you are the sole source of boxing, maybe you are mistaking this with a bar.

We all due respect J-C, No I didn’t. He is trying to imply that I have zero knowledge of boxing, in which case he is way off base and the example of whether the fighter is black, white or any other race in my opinion is quite stupid. I’m not a historian nor do I pretend to be and the only fighters that I would talk about are the ones that I have seen enough times fights to form an opinion and judge according to my criteria. The problem with Decagon is that if you don’t agree with his view you are nothing or have no knowledge of the sport and that is ridiculous. I have received more than enough insults, stupid and racist replies from this jerk (Decagon) just because I have a different opinion.
