Nikita highlights

Post by toppity »

I don't watch boxing as much as I once did. But I did stumble onto last nights ME highlights. Just a few comments regarding what I watched.

Nikita is, as I would expect, a competent boxer, excellent mover, and is aggressive.
He could do with keeping his hands up more. As he moves up through the ranks, and his opponents get better, he is going to get tagged more without improved defense.
The knock down in round 3 against him looked like a clash of heads. I couldn't hear the commentary, but it looked straight forward to me.
Brubaker was tough. Hard head, and great attitude. My immediate thoughts were the world's elite boxers in the division could do with him as a sparring partner. You would get your monies worth.
Overall it seemed like another step in the right direction for the younger brother.
