Usyk shaking on the floor

Post by BigDoofus »

Lay on the floor shaking and took 3 minutes 45 seconds to recover after a shot on his Simon Cowellesque waistband.
Has any other elite fighter done that?

The guy is a genius. He know the lactic acid will build up on Dubois while he sits down :D

You mean he took the time allowed to recover from an illigal punch , which by the way was'nt the only one he recieved , recall DD being told to keep them up earlier after hitting his leg

Usyks been in my top 3 fighters of the last 10 years but that display on the floor last night was pathetic and hes certainly gone down in my estimation. Whether you think the punch was illegal or not( i dont think it was as his shorts were up to high but thats beside the point) he clearly wasnt hit in the balls or dick or groin in general. So there was no reason to embarass himself sitting on the floor panting and then pacing around the ring for afew minutes against dd. Against fuking dd. It really was sad to look at. Anyways hes clearly weak to the body, dd hurt him again a couple rounds later to the body and he stumbled back. Hes clearly an elite fighter but not a true heavy that was noticable last night. Fury right now is the only one that prob beats him but in another generation of heavies i think hed really struggle. But overall that display on the floor and the time wasting after against a fighter of dds calibre was really dissapointing :bag:

DD cynical tactics backfired and as this was the only gameplan he got knocked the fornicate out - and the ref frankly saved him from being cabbaged by Usyk who was clearly enraged in a way I havent seen before in him .

It's common gamesmanship. Usyk doesn't like bodyshots, by selling them low to the ref it works in his favour, other guy runs risk of points off if he throws them.

Usyk claimed he was hit in the balls almost one year on from when he first lost them:

A perfect summing up. I think Uysk was really fed up of being hit low ( thigh and below the belly button).

According to DD's team he was going to dethrown Uysk definitely. Guaranteed but ended up getting ironed out instead.

Also worth remembering that Uysks last three fights have been Joshua x 2 and Dubois. Fury's have been an ancient Whyte, an ancient Chisora and next up someone who hasn't had an amateur or pro boxing fight.

Uysk moves in different circles to Fury.

Thats what the people who have never boxed and had a protector squeeze or stretch the conkers are missing.

We expected Micky, Dev and John to run with Dubois deserving to win. And over look Dubois had another 4 rnds to land another shot like that above the belt line and couldn`t ... but instead Dubois got knocked out by a jab.

What seems to be getting overlooked is that Usyk looked a lot stronger than what Jo Joyce did against Dubois.

Usyk lay on the floor shaking after being hit on the waistband and you’re condoning his behaviour.
I cannot recall another elite boxer doing this. Different circles?

I don't think you've mentioned Usyk on the floor enough. Maybe you should try again.
