Are the BBBofC showing a set of balls …
I certainly thought they would cave in with regards the Conor Benn saga … if they did cave in Benn would have fought by now.
I gave just the Benn saga as an example, are there other examples where the BBBofC are not taking any nonsense?
I have been very critical of Robert Smith and I am beginning to think I was wrong to do so.

Re: BBBofC
I was surprised that the BBBoC have actually appealed the decision themselves.
I expected a UKAD appeal but assumed that the Board would remain passive on the matter officially and then decline to issue a license if any and all available appeals were unsuccessful.

Re: BBBofC
In the aftermath of the Benn saga, the BBBC should've set up a meet with all the top promoters in the country as well as UKAD to sort their sh1t out, why can't UKAD just get in line with VADA? It's a shambles and the BBBC should be getting more slack than Eddie with this Conor stuff, they have a duty of care to make sure promoters and fighters don't try to pull a fast one, they're silence as well as their dithering has got us here

I don't think the board had a choice. Their credibility was/is so poor imo that they had to grow a pair.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑25 Aug 2023, 13:38 I was surprised that the BBBoC have actually appealed the decision themselves.

I think this is spot on. If they caved, basically they could be seen to have no control over the sport.
Still think Benn will be out soon.

Think the big lesson to be learned here is for boxers to keep there mouth shut , Benns attitude and mouth gave them no option but to go against himFrostieballs wrote: ↑25 Aug 2023, 14:56Muttley wrote: ↑25 Aug 2023, 14:21I don't think the board had a choice. UKAD have proven themselves to be useless time and time again, I think the BBBofC are sick to death of the BS we're seeing and are now putting their foot down, especially after the way Eddie "got away" with the Whyte Vs Rivas situation (where ite was a reversal of this situation regarding the testing bodies), and I suspect the BBBofC appealing the decision is going to help create some clarity on things going forward.

It seems like they had enough of Hearns BS basically. Conors stupidity also a factor.
