Usyk v Moorer

Post by Kilburn »

I don’t give mythical fights too much thought usually, but would have loved this match up.

And don’t be telling me that Usyk would walk it either :box:

Great fight, but Usyk has insurmountable advantages in technical skill, foot speed, and ring generalship. He'd soundly outbox Moorer to take a decision. I doubt Moorer could score with many clean punches.

Usyk might score a late round stoppage, although I think it probably goes the distance.

Imo if Moorer who beat Holyfield in their first fight, he may take the fight Usyk to make the fight closer and take a decision in the battle of the southpaw heavyweights. If Moorer who lost to George Foreman shows up, then Usyk would beat him in a close fight to either take a decision or late round stoppage.

Until the knockout, that was one of Moorer's best performances. Usyk doesn't have the kind of power of even an ancient Foreman, so Moorer at his best would have a very good chance.

That would be a great technical fight. But pre-1995 Moorer takes it.
