Cheers, John. Terry Barker is the father of Darren and the man who licked John Lyon in the 1980 ABA finals at Wembley. Lyon came back to win a record eight ABA titles so it is an astonishing win for Barker who won by a landslide but dropped out of the sport when he discovered there was more to life than boxing: he fell in love. I was at Chapel Street market one day with Chris Sanigar, who was selling t-shirts, and this little fella was walking around, cracking jokes with everyone. It was Terry.
