Soooo disappointing to hear of another PED test failure

The whole situation is a joke.

3 years seems excessive by the usual bans that are handed out.

Does this have to do with:

1) Sokolowski being an unheard of or low profile boxer

and

2) he'd already retired...so what 'effing difference does it make


Clearly the will isn't there, but I wish they'd clear out the bloody lot of the PED cheats from our sport

Handing a 3 year ban to a retired boxer doesn't send out much of a warning IMO.

Highly likely they'll make examples of power profile boxers but I'd say Sokolowski tried to "get in ahead" of this one, got word it might not work out for him in the tests this time and said oh I'm retiring guys no need to reveal any results

Very disappointing, this. Was a big fan of Sokolowski. As for the basis for the three year ban, https://www.ukad.org.uk/sanctions records his ban but, unlike (say) the Tete case, does not have the published judgment as an attachment. That would usually give the factual background and rationale for the decision, so maybe that will appear in due course.

i have seen the shows and find them a bit crap tbh. The MC speaking during the fights a bit cringe and the O2 venue is a bit crap TBH. Was at the york hall would be a better set up. Seems like its ran like a small hall show tbh.

I quite like it, although a top lad in it is from Gainsborough where I live (Ricardo Franco) so am a little more invested thaan otherwise would be.
