Shawn Porter and Chris Algeiri don't think it will happen either. I'm not sure why? :maybe:

It's a bit like me saying I'm going to bang Jennifer Lawrence.

Much easier to talk about it, than make it happen.

Boxing fans happy that the fight has been agreed.
The Knitting Circle has spent all 2023 claiming that Fury is scared are desperately hoping it doesn’t happen.

You’ve told us daily for about 10 months that Fury is afraid of him.
Come on Doofus.

Hardly any of us actually thought Fury was scared.

The main issue with him is that he doesn’t back up his constant talk.

He claims he’s a fighting man, will fight for free etc…..

The real truth is he will only fight when everything is exactly how he dictates it.

But he doesn’t own that and is happy to blame everybody else for fights falling through.
There were posters on here almost daily claiming that Fury was scared of him. Biglennox even claimed several times that he was scared of Ruiz

Perhaps he wasn't scared but he certainly gave a pitch perfect performance of someone that was weary of Uysk. Turns out all that was needed was $200m dollars for him to take Uysk on.

And the doubts were not limited to this boxing forum judging by all the fans comments on twitter and YouTube, and the thoughts of his peers: Tim Bradley, Carl Froch, Tony Bellew, and Johnny Nelson, all fine world champions, who know what negotiations at the highest level involve, raised concerns.

I think even experienced trainer Dave Coldwell and a couple of other respected trainers were begining to have doubts over Fury's keeness to face Uysk. Well, if not doubts, certainly frustration.

I think that's why people are being either cautiously optimistic or still have some doubts about the Fury vs Uysk fight happening.

I'm fairly optimistic: the fact that Fury is looking to hire southpaw sparring partners and Uysk is going to be at the Ngannou fight points towards it happening but, last we forget, Fury signed to box Joshua before and ended up fighting Wilder again instead.

Shawn Porter and Chris Algieri both of the opinion that it won't happen :oo
They think Fury isn't willing to face any top contenders anymore. This 'fight' with Ngannou is an event that will allow him to make so much money, without the risk of taking on the likes of Usyk, that he'll carry on with that type of low risk-high reward fights. In so many words, isn't taking the easy option a bit cowardly rather than wanting to truly prove yourself? Especially after stating you want your legacy to match the GOAT's and claim The Ring belt 3 times?
Smart in a money sense, but more than a hint of shithouse about it.

Personally, I think (and hope!) they will fight. I have trust that Fwank has got this deal signed and will deliver on his word, but...with the caveat that, after the easy moneygrab win over Ngannou, the prospect of going straight into a grueling training camp to prepare for a difficult fight against Usyk might not be that appealing. Fury might need some time to count and spend his cash for Xmas. So, the elbow injury might appear because of big strong Francis, and a delay until next year. I'd love for some egg to be smeared all over my face though and for it to happen in December. I'd quite gladly accept an eternal eggy face for that.

Ha! What a brilliant post. And those fine champions would be very welcome in the Knitting Circle anytime. Perhaps we will have to start holding AGMs.

A few boxers might have expressed their view in an interview.
The Knitting Circle posted their bile daily for 10 months whilst refusing to criticise other boxers for turning down 2 WBC title fights.
