Possibly, he looked terrible in the face , can't be good for you , draining yourself so much .

Boring as fcuk but i think warringtons head will have a big bearing on outcome. Can see a cuts stoppage/disqualification scenario. Especially with wood being the taller man. If not, wood points for me. Think warringtons high volume but low power style is hard to maintain as every fight is a war, think its caught up with him.

I'm struggling to pick a winner, but just edging Warrington's way.

Even though Wood's form in the last couple of years has been mightily impressive, he was saying on Bunce's BBC radio 5 live preview that he is one of the featherweight division's premier big hitters !

Stopping a piss poor Xu & KO'ing the sub-world class Conlan doesn't make him a world class puncher in my book. If he can blast out Warrington, then he's definitely moving in that direction.

For what it's worth, this is my prediction....

Warrington starts fast, Wood drops him mid rounds, dominates there after and gets a stoppage late.

It’s a hard fight to assess. The obvious narrative is that Warrington’s on the way down & Wood’s on the way up.

But the way I look at it is if Wood fought Lopez my money would be on a Lopez stoppage & if the version of Lara that turned up in the Wood rematch fought Warrington then I’d back Warrington.

I think a prime Warrington is better than a prime Wood & I still think against Lopez that Warrington showed he’s got plenty left.

I’m not as convinced as others that Wood is having some kind of Indian summer. I think he’s got the jackpot in that Conlan gassed trying to finish him & that Lara was so dreadful in the rematch. I think he’s had several hard fights & had a couple of stoppage defeats & is nowhere near as fresh as some are suggesting.

I think Warrington should be favoured. He's got the footwork to get to Wood and when he starts throwing his combinations he's good at keeping himself safe enough. Wood also has boxercise in the corner which is a negative. The strategy of outboxing Warrington won't work and I don't think they will have a plan B. I've got Warrington getting him out of there. I just think Wood is tailor made for Warrington to be honest.
