Tyrell Biggs vs. Bert Cooper

Post by scorpio83 »

12 or 15 Rounds Heavyweight Bout

In the battle of Pennsylvanian fighters, Biggs would overwhelm Smokin' Bert behind his long left jabs, right hands and combinations to either take a decision or stopping him late. What do you guys think and who do you got?

I assume we're talking about each guy during his prime. For Briggs, that would be 1986-87, up until he got KO'd by Mike Tyson. For Cooper, that's the 1990-92 time frame, until he was stopped by Michael Moorer.

All things going as expected, Briggs would win a wide decision. He had big advantages over Cooper in height, reach, speed, mobility, and talent. All Coop' brings to the table is durability and a knockout punch.

As long as Briggs keeps the action at long range, he wins. Problem is, even at his best, Briggs was known as a fighter who made sloppy mistakes or lost focus. If that happened, Cooper would have a chance at clinching an upset KO win.

Tyrell Biggs wins by unanimous decision. It's a fight between a slugger and a boxer. The boxer wins most of the time.

BIggs. I think he was slightly tougher than Carl Williams, and he could replicate was Carl did. Late stoppage win for Biggs.
