Aaron Pryor versus Ray Mancini

Post by goose 5 »

15 rounds, 140 pounds. June, 1984. Does a declining Pryor have enough to beat Boom Boom ?

Interesting fight given Pryor was closer to the end of his career and 1984 was the year Mancini got stopped by Bramble. IMO Pryor's speed would have been too much and they would stop the fight around the 10th or 11th because Mancini, as always, would be there to be hit and would have gotten too beat up to continue

Aaron "The Hawk" Pryor by knockout. Even in 1984, he was still good enough to beat Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini.

As a matter of fact, both after the year 1983 weren't the same.

Pryor stops Mancini around the 9th or 10th.
