Hello, I work at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and am currently working on a photograph of the Jack Johnson-Jess Willard bout on April 5, 1915 in Havana, Cuba. Jack Welch, the referee, is the in photograph and I need assistance locating more information about him for our records. Specifically, I'm looking for his life dates and places (where & when he was born/died). Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
