MTK & Daniel Kinahan

I honestly believe UK boxing misses them. They pumped a lot of money into the sport. They put on some excellent shows, paid fighters well. In addition they managed fighters well.

I fully appreciate that there are alleged accusations against various personalities so I ask the following…

Am I wrong with what I have written above?

What are your thoughts concerning MTKs contribution to boxing?

Dunno Spud,
but there are a few ideas of where that money “that was pumped into the sport” came from.

Of course it was, and has always been, the case. Through history, dubious characters have lent their worth to boxing. It goes back over a century at least.

Now the Middle East are at it. Its all the same thing.

Sorry MTK. A few of your top boys got paid. It was all Fugazi tho. A washing machine for cash.

I miss the MTK live shows on YouTube. They were all good cards with competitive fights.

They'd start with a few 4 rounders for their prospects, move on to more competitive 6 & 8 rounders, then finish up with one or two 10 rounders/12 rounders...good format.

It seemed too good to be true that it would last for long.

Murdering narco terrorists and everyone who fought with or worked with them knew. Alleged my arse. Utter scum. Lots of pathetic nobodies like Mcdonagh still laud them. And the other rats scurried off but should be reminded regularly they were a part of it.

Why has no any serious journalist ever pulled him on his mate Kinahan, the murdering drug dealer? It’s not as though he has hidden it, he started a business with the guy. Why has nobody on Sky ever been made to answer questions on why they employ Macklin?

The media that report on boxing really are gutless.

Good for boxing in general but had it banned in Ireland and not really what you want to see in terms of negative press generally. I think it would have probably been the number 1 in the game now if they'd done things differently. Tremendous effort and very well played in some respects but I think what ultimately happened was something most people could see coming a mile away.

Any serious journalists would be black listed immediately in boxing.

boxing has enough detractors without the additional accusation of drug money being involved - or washed .

Chisora pretty much let it out that Daniel is well involved in getting the Usyk/Fury fight over the line.

Expect Gareth A Davies to ask about it never.

i enjoyed the York Hall MTK bills and the Tournament, I went to the semi-final one with Ryan Walsh stopping the South American and Leigh Wood. It was a top bill.

Sky were very quick to sack Keys and Gray for partaking in some mildly unsavoury sexist banter off air so clearly they want to be seen to be doing the right thing.

Odd then that they seem perfectly happy to continue employing the dull as ditchwater Macklin despite his well publicised hobnobbing with and business connections to narco terrorists.

Almost as if they’re under duress ….

That's a silly claim. Boxing is full of people out of the sewer - being slurped by camp media toffs - so what difference does Macklin make.

The difference he makes is that he’s directly employed by one of the major national broadcasters.

Seems odd doesn’t it that in an age when big business falls over itself to be whiter than white and cause no offence to anyone they would employ a man with such a firm link to major league criminals ? Why not just choose another identikit pundit off the conveyer belt of ex boxers scrambling for media work.

It’s different for example than somebody saying Fury should be blacklisted for his alleged links to Kinahan, he’s the talent and pretty much indispensable. Matt’s just a very unimportant cog in the machine.

Amen. I think Spud is hoping Uncle Dan will give him a few quid for his old begging bowl fundraiser.

As mentioned on another thread I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years back and my
Wife did a fundraiser fin 2022 for the cause.

I find your mocking of that incredibly sad and pathetic.

You can be pleased with yourself I am stunned you are mocking me using my fundraiser as an excuse to verbally attack me in this way.
