I'd feel bad for Joshua in this one. Bad match up for AJ

Re: David Tua vs. Anthony Joshua
if josh is cautious and keeps it long he could win a lot of rounds , of course tua could catch him and stop him suddenly at anytime as well

Tua wins as soon as he lands his first decent shot, no later than round 3

Re: David Tua vs. Anthony Joshua
some of yall getting carried away, look at all the dudes who took tua rounds. if josh is on the move tua prob aint stopping him first half and would be losing when he did it
Re: David Tua vs. Anthony Joshua
Yeah a lot of people in this thread are making Tua better than he was, and Joshua worse than he is.
Joshua I do believe would lose to the best David Tua. He would not be hopelessly outmatched however.

Re: David Tua vs. Anthony Joshua
David Tua was way too patient for action. But, once he connects, it's timber!
Re: David Tua vs. Anthony Joshua
This is a very tough call.
Normally, I'd expect AJ to win a decision, putting his vastly superior height and reach to work. Although he's not a slick, mobile, stand-up boxer, AJ would at least be capable of doing enough long-range punching to keep Tua at bay.
So, that means AJ by decision, with Tua's pulverizing hooks just fanning air for 12 rounds. Or so you'd think.
AJ went down hard against short guy Andy Ruiz, who's built like Tua. We also saw AJ's confidence melt when he realized his left-jab wasn't sufficient to control Ruiz. Something similar could easily happen against Tua, and if so, AJ would take the full ten count.
Again, I just don't know who to pick.
