I quite like Tommy, seems a nice lad, thought he boxed well in his last proper fight. Last night was not good but it was a very holdy grabby fight.

More of this sh*t as the guy cannot box and for all his talk and his physique, he can't 'kin punch at all.

Better to just to stick another 1 or 2 of these and call it quits.

Nice bloke, I'm sure and good luck to him but ffs, his 'boxing' 'kin woeful and his punching power is even worse. As I say however, good luck to him, I guess.

I don’t think they’ll be announcing an opponent yet until the winners of Big Brother, Strictly and The Bake Off are known.

Gents,

I really do apologise if i am winding people up, I honestly dont mean to .

I will stress I completely agree the standard of boxing is 💩 on misfits shows but they are getting the following correct …

People strangley want controversy and lets face it misfits delivers that.

People who are NOT “anoraks” of boxing want to see a fight, they want knock outs and even more controversy … again misfits delivers that.

Professional Boxing is boring and mundane and
Tickets are outrageously priced and then I go onto ppv shows … this is where boxing is getting it badly wrong the casual boxing fan is bored senseless where at least misfits is different.

I love boxing and am deeply passionate about the sport that has given me so much over the last 24 years … but sadly professional boxing is getting it badly wrong on so many fronts

Like I have already said I truly do not mean to wind you guys up … but it is in my opinion completely arrogant for professional boxing to simply say misfits is 💩and not to take a look at what misfits is doing right.

Worst still it is outrageously wrong for professional boxing fans to slag off, White Collar & misfits boxing when its own house is getting things so badly wrong.

Respect to you all

You're spot on, Spud. :TU:

Boxing is a mess, four world title bodies, super champions, interim champions etc - back in the seventies and eighties - you had two or three world title fights a year involving British boxers and a British boxer fighting for a world title was a big event and the country tuned in. Now, it's a fornicating mess and they're able to duck each other and anyone dangerous - how many title shots did Manuel Medina get when he was well past it (Datsue  ).

The reason people tune into misfits is because they're competitive - nobody wants to see a 60-54 - all people want are competitive fights against well matched fighters and professional boxing has missed that these days. Fans will flock to something else if pro boxing won't give it.

Fray Bentos, You make some good points.

I feel like banging my bulbous head against a wall, professional boxing keep making the same mistakes.

Professional boxing URGENTLY needs to make fundamental changes and stop slagging off others to hide its own problems.

I gave up caring about the state of boxing ages ago, tbh. We all know it’s in a pisspoor state and incredibly corrupt to boot, and it’s getting worse every year rather than better. Just enjoy the good fights when they come along, and sod the rest of it. Not worth the effort of getting annoyed about, it will never change.

Spud wrote: 15 Oct 2023, 10:02 I really get people’s points about the standard Of youtube misfits boxing.

But what about professional boxing:

Sh💩t uncompetitive undercard fights

Sh💩t attitude of fighters insisting on keeping their unbeaten record.

Expensive tickets

Expensive ppv fees

Sh*t attitude about tickets being sold by stub hub and others.

Poor decisions by judges

Poor refereeing

Drugs cheats

I could go on but professional boxing is shooting itself by its refusal to do anything about its faults.

Forum … please tell me if I am wrong 😜
It's all true,of course it is. Boxing was finished 10 years ago if we are being honest. It's sad but a fact. Joshua briefly revived it but when he lost to Ruiz the wheels fell off imo. When you only have two promoters' in the UK and both have fallen short by some way on quality then it's no surprise. If you also take into.account the obvious flaws in the BBBOC in terms of quality control, etc and the boxing media not being able/or choose not to report impartially for fear of being barred or refused access, how do you expect the sport to develop and move with the times?

Tommy should be the boxing community's hero. He's the one who stepped forward to shut up the annoying Youtubers who infringed on our noble sport. Granted, he didn't really do too great a job representing the pro boxer vs part time lot, but he's exploited them at their own game and made his money in doing so
It would be a bit lol if, after all the advertising and promotion, the Misfits did more PPV buys than Baddest of the Bad.

Another staggering, dismissive response if you are correct that the only reason why misfits is succeeding is down to advertising and promotion… why doesn’t professional boxing do the same, then there would be no problem would there😳😳

Did I say it was solely down to advertising and promotion?
Given what I wrote, you appear to be having a complete misunderstanding.
