At least we’re in the period of the year where the York hall won’t be 35 degrees inside. With everyone within 5 rows of the ring playing a Russian roulette game of whether or not the sweat spray from someone getting hit catches them square in the face.
If they’d kept it on at the O2 then they’d probably need to find a way to compensate people for keeping their tickets without the main event, they’d have many people want refunds and would then need to sell tickets again to Buatsi/Azeez.
Whilst they can get York Hall pretty busy with just friends and family of all of the fighters.
They’d have lost the deposit on the O2 for Saturday though but this must be a better way financially to do it.
The issue he’s got is that it stands out more as they haven’t put on many cards or many good fights on regular Sky Sports this year.
He deserves credit for keeping the show on but the reality is that between July 2nd and November 17th, Sky Sports would have shown 2 U.K. events and both are at York Hall.
They need a big end to the year.
