Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - Dec 23 / Jan 24
aside from wilder fury's biggest problems were prob against cunningham and wallin. one is a former light hitting cruiser and the other basically a pound shop usyk with the same reach. both fights fury was made to look ponderous and you could see the difference between being mobile and quick for a giant, and being mobile and quick in general.
usyk's style and quickness of being a smaller guy can be problematic for fury, it's easier said then done to just basically lean on someone and that's it. you've got to catch them first and also take shots in return. i still think fury should win but it's a difficult match for him too regardless of how much bigger he is

“Fury should win” after theerest of your superb argument is a bit counter productive but,
Other than that I agree entirely. Salut.

Kalle doesn't think Fury vs Uysk will happen on the 23rd December:
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - Dec 23 / Jan 24
Usyk has laser focus. Fury don't. IMO Usyk will be the more prepared physically and mentally. I could be wrong.si7dog7 wrote: ↑10 Oct 2023, 13:01Exactly what I am thinking.
He’ll (Fury will) need to box. Not just lean, smother and spoil.
Usyk is a far superior boxer to Wlad (Fury’s best win) He won’t fall for the mind games either.
Uysk is a far far far far superior boxer to Deontay Wilder who took Fury through the wringer over 3 fights.
I won’t use the Steve Cunningham, John McDermott or Otto analogies to re-enforce this point.
Fury will be the favourite by the so called experts and bookies. Fair enough. I don’t agree but understand why.
Reckon smart money will be on Usyk at a better than fair price.
IF this bloomin’ fight ever happens. I’m not holding my breath.

Yes exactly. It used to be common knowledge that championship boxers who lose all focus generally then lose horribly. It just hasn’t happened in Fury’s case as yet.

I kind of genuinely wish Neven Pajkić had found a follow up punch 12 years ago and spared us this endless thread! At the point where his next fight is signed as Jon Jones or Rico Verhoeven can we just stop it?

Does this mean we're gonna see endless Insta vids of him and John Fury doing their slow Citroën up and down Morecambe promenade calling Usyk a sausage?

I think Fury is so slow jogging on Morecambe prom these days, that speed strolling grannies overtake him!
