Braithwaite stopped Ahmed in the 9th round of their rematch last night to retain his Commonwealth Super Flyweight title and win vacant British, another close fight like the first that ended in a draw, both threw plenty of leather, lacked quality and both cancelled each other out at times but it was fought with the best intentions, end came out of nowhere really, Braithwaite hurt Ahmed with a right to the body then a right to the head had him down and up on wobbly legs, Braithwaite waded in and dropped Ahmed a second time and the ref waved it off without a count, bit premature if you ask me, he should've at least gave a count

Good fight, not the best static camera angle but great they streamed a small hall show for free. Ahmed had a good spell between rounds 3 and 5, but gradually Braithwate came back into it. Great handspeed and surprised he’s only got 2 stoppages on his record.

I thought the ref’s intervention was spot on. Ahmed was decked by a shot on the temple and looked woozy regaining his feet. Braithwaite had him under heavy fire upon the restart and little was coming back.

Good fight fought at a lively pace. Thanks to BRB Promotions for streaming it live.
