i thought johnson shaded it.
woods showed plenty of heart but the only thing that stopped him from getting ko`ed was johnson`s stamina. johnson was knackered.
johnson 37? i reckon he uses the same calender that obefele martins who just signed for newcastle uses to calculate his age. looking at his face he`s well past 40 imo.

Top fight. I was ringside and I had Johnson winning it by a round. Hardly a robbery but I did feel for Glen, who seems to ALWAYS get the shitty end of the stick when it's tight. Much has been made of the last 2 rounds but Woods was all but done in that ninth (and wobbled before that). Love that short uppercut of his mind and am delighted that he'll get at least one more big payday as he seems a nice kid. Johnson for me tho scored with the cleaner work. How anyone could score it to Woods by four rounds is beyond me. M'Baye fight was a cracker and well worth a watch on ITV4 later in the week.
I agree, giving it to Woods by 4 rounds is just a joke, ...much of Woods shots were being taken on Johnsons gloves and arms, while Johnsons punches were landing cleanly on Woods head and body... don't really bregrudge Clinton the win though as he seems like a good guy but I dont see him beating a 100% Calzaghe... Clintons best bet really would be to try for a big money 4th fight with Johnson and I think he can win it if he fights the right fight next time...TheGoods wrote:Top fight. 9-3 Johnson – you’ve got to be joking.I had it 9/3 for Johnson
Clinton won rounds 2,3,7,8,10,11 & 12. Johnson took the rest. If you can give Johnson round 3 then he gets a draw.
But 9 rounds to 3 is stretching it.
I can see how those like Foggy watching in the pub could get the impression that Johnson won because when he had a good round he really stamped his authority and of course in the 9th he rocked Woods badly.
But under Boxing scoring he lost the majority of rounds.

I've watched it on the Tv and on the PC. On the TV, the boxer is more impressive: movement, and sublte moves are easier to discern as the view feels more ojective. On the PC, which has a flatter image and which you sit right near, the harder puncher is more persuasive & it's easier to get seduced by big shots.neverwin wrote:9-3 Johnson – you’ve got to be joking.I had it 9/3 for Johnson

Watched the fight last night for the first time without knowing the result and with the volume down (as is now always the case).
I had Johnson winning 115-114. Excellent effort by both and it could have gone any which way. Let's not smudge an excellent contest by calling this controversial. This was very close, I just happened to call it for Johnson.
I wouldn't object to see them do it again after this third cracker.
Bennie, I can't believe Warren made Woods use a disabled to toilet for his changing room !!! I'm sort of furious and overcome by laughter at the same time
