Yep. And lets face it, the titles are almost meaningless these days.

That he is more interested in easier fights for more money isn’t a shock but I was a bit surprised that he bothered to officially ask not to be considered.
Plenty of eliminators and mandatories don’t go ahead and it gives him options and bargaining power.

I think if he beats Benn he should at least go for a title. Janibek may have 3 titles by then

I'd agree with that, get that 5 million for beating Benn and then go for the titles.

It wouldn’t surprise at all to see Eubank Jr

Rejected or swerved because he doesn’t think he can beat Janibek?

And he would be right because I don’t think he can.

Eubank has always been a fighter on the periphery of relevance. Wins a "world title", but it's the IBO. Beats names like Abraham, DeGale, Korobov etc but there's always asterisks. He'll fight Kell Brook, Conor Benn and Amir Khan before no-names for the WBO mandatory. Whatever brings in the most revenue.

It's his career, I hope he exits the sport with his brains and bank balance in tact.

Biggest money for less reward, the smart thing to do really. Belts mean little anymore, no matter what fighter you name someone will shoot them down (Canelo, Fury, Tyson, Klitschko, FMM, Lewis etc etc) so if these guys have their haters what chance does anyone have so why bother trying to please the fans. Get rich and get out, all going well he has a long life ahead of him. When you are retired no one really cares anymore, you will be forgotten about and someone else will be flavour on the month.

He could get his money then cap it off with a fight for a title at the end. Benn would bring stupid money from casuals

Do you think Tommy performs poorly on purpose so as not to scare off the Youtube "pugilists"? I don't personally, I think the Furys are far too daft to come up with such a cunning plan, but it could be a remote possibility?

Regardless love him or rate him , Eubank is a world rated boxer , and he would punch the foook out of Tommy Fury at cruiserweight ,, BUT it will not happen Tommy would want it at heavyweight , with his dad allowed to hold Chris whilst he hits him , even then not sure Tommy could stop him

Tbf I think Eubank has always been frank about chasing £ over titles. Wise move to dodge the title shot.
