I see it a lot more simple than that, he fiddled about for the first couple of rounds,, as planned then got nailed, hurt and down and was in shock, affected his willingness to get Ngannou out of there, heavy is the crown of Tyson Fury, not just his family name but he'd never recover being on the wrong end of the biggest upset in boxing historyTwinkle Toes wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 15:08I think people are finding it hard to understand he's probbaly shot. It happens, we've seen it so many times. Fury was always going to pay for his out of ring shenanigans at some point.handsofstone wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 14:01
Lazy narrative that's been constant since last night, he said himself he's been in camp for 12 weeks, fact is Fury should be able to get off the couch to dispatch Ngannou
Just happenend to be to a pro debutant.

Wasn't a big shot that put him over was it. Looked a flabbier mess than usual in there.

Fury looked bad, but he was landing more jabs and scuffed right hands. It was poor but it was more than Francis was doing ( in the rounds Francis was innactive in)Ricky wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 15:17What was it you seen Fury do exactly? He was falling in, setting traps that Francis wasn't buying, and landed very very few eye catching shots. He looked, timid, scared, and kept touching his face like he had tourretes.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 10:11Boxing is scored in a round by round basis. If you won more rounds you win. Ngannou was breathing out of his mouth from rounds 5-10 and only threw punches in the 8th, which was a big round for him. But rounds 5, 6 ,7, 9, 10 were clearly edged by Tyson. So you'd have to give Ngannou 4 of the first 5 for him to win. Maybe you can argue Nganou won the 5th tbf.Ricky wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 08:22 The judges that gave that fight to Fury are contemptible. Absolutely everything was loaded against the guy, he's coming into boxing from a different sport, making a debut against an unbeaten (lol) HW champion, and in an officially sanctioned 10-rounder not some exhibition.
Not only did he outbox him, he held the centre of the ring the entire fight, countered Fury falling in, landed the most significant shots, made Fury fight his fight, and sat him on his arse.
Yet those 2 paid-for puppets ringside still robbed the guy out a truly ATG sporting triumph just to keep on their own gravy train. It's deplorable.
Ngannou won his round 3 and 8th, much much bigger than anything Fury did. But the fight scoring doesn't account for that.

he's always touched his face in fights. but at least he stopped punching himself in the face in fights. someone on Reddit was trying to say it was because he'd been doing coca cola beforehand and was wiping his nose, which they said was red (maybe because Francis punched it)Ricky wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 15:17What was it you seen Fury do exactly? Warren has already said 23rd isn’t happening. It never was. Last night was the smokescreen they need to swerve that.
These guys are playing the long con and some people just keep falling for it.

Warren is a master of dangling the carrot. Under his banner its up to the fighter to put the foot down and make sure the big fights happen, or the milking will go on forever. Fury is comfortable with it all, happy taking the easy road for mega money and accolades, but his rep has just taken a major pummeling so hopefully it gives him the motivation he needs to try and cement his legacy before its too late, but i wont be holding my breath.
Re: Round-by-Round: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou - 28th October 2023
If he wants to fight someone it will happen , Warren , Arum whoever will do has there told simple has that , but facts are , he's a conman , he's doing now what he's been doing for years , telling his fans what they want to here and conning the rest , , still say what you want there smarter than most how do i know that easy , look at the money they make , even that horrible man called the father , people just love his con job , when he's sat in the field , brewing a cuppa over the open fire telling the world , he's a simple man who's got nowt , does'nt want or need money ,happy livig here in his caravan , then packs up and goes to his nice big house , . CONMEN the lot of them , but thw difference here is there not conning some little old lady into fixing her roof or tarmacing the drive ,, theres is on a big scale conning thousands and thousands of idiots into buying PPV ,,ALI wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 16:43Warren is a master of dangling the carrot. i wouldn't be surprised if Fury retires after this. the way he was after the fight, cancelling the press conference. he'll know if he's done

That short interview looked like someone pretending everything is fine and dandy, but behind the eyes he looked pretty shocked just how bad an experience that must have felt. Old overnight and shot to pieces! If he doesn’t think he did anything wrong he’s just going to turn up looking weak and fat again.

yep. never thought I'd see that. I do genuinely hope he's alright though. probably not easy to realise that what you've been doing so well since you were a kid is now likely over.polecateddy wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 18:06 That short interview looked like someone pretending everything is fine and dandy, but behind the eyes he looked pretty shocked just how bad an experience that must have felt. everyone makes these braindead statements after one fight. He's not retiring, he fought terribly but he'll box again.golden_labrador wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 17:49 i wouldn't be surprised if Fury retires after this. the way he was after the fight, cancelling the press conference. he'll know if he's done

I’m sure he’ll box again. Gawd knows against who? that, is a fair and informed statement. None of us know if he'll ascend to greatness again or is shot. But fight again. He will.polecateddy wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 18:21I’m sure he’ll box again. I think he boxed badly, but is a brilliant boxer who has achieved so much despite often being derided.

I just don’t like him, sexist, racist, drug abuser etc and would rather boxing continued in his absence.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 18:57why?leejonesjnr wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 18:25 I don’t know if Fury will box again or not.

Re: Round-by-Round: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou - 28th October 2023
Froch's post fight comments were once again accurate when he compared the match up to Mayweather v McGregor.
Mayweather too was semi-retired from fighting the top guys and he was able to do as he pleased simply because he is/was one of the best pure boxers of his generation.
Tyson Fury's problem was he is just one of the best of a very bad bunch in possibly the worse heavyweight era of living memory - and he doesn't have half the skill his fan-bois believe, certainly not a fraction of Mayweathers skills.
Plus - a novice boxer like McGregor was never really going to have the power to bother Mayweather .. but a strong and fit 19st guy is able to hurt anyone if he lands.
Fury's ability has been seriously overrated for many years. His growing blubber is proof he believed in his own hype. His training consisted of slow jogs up Morecambe promenade, sparring his great mate Joe Parker .. and lots of social media videos of him calling someone a sausage.
I don't see him being ready for Dec 23rd unless the money gets heavily withdrawn. The shape he is in he will need longer than March 2024 to be ready also .. his lifestyle however has possibly ruined his hopes of recapturing his fitness/stamina again though.

Do you think the rumors about Francis being caught with Hughie the night before the fight put Fury off?

Unless he's looking to cash out, not a snowball in helps chance fury fights again before march.
This was meant to be a cakewalk, and it ended up more like a perp walk.
