What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
The guy just arguably did better than anyone vs fury. He is not young so needs to keep moving.
So what next???
Fury II, wilder, AJ, Zhang, usyk?
Or step back and get some wins?
Or use this buzz to renegotiate with UFC?

Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
He's signed with PFL so will likely fight in PFL before having another boxing match. No chance of him going back to the UFC
Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
He should fight under the PFL banner. Which will bring a lot of attention to their org.
I don't think he should give Fury the payday of a rematch unless it is in a cage. But the problem is, Ngannou is just going to get stopped by any top 10 boxer taking the fight seriously. Personally, I don't have a problem with Joshua or Wilder fighting him, purely because they aren't in line for a title shot (and it would bring some legitimacy back to boxing when they make easy work of him). But I definitely do not want to see Ngannou in with any of Hrgovic, Zhang, or god-forbid, Usyk.
Let's be honest, Fury disgraced himself at the weekend. But there is no need for boxing to follow his lead and drag it through the mire even further.

It should be a Boxing Promoters Dream, but I would Love to see him fight Joseph Parker next,
Devastating Knock out by Parker at the Weekend.
Let's see Francis and Joe go at it on the Fury Usyk Undercard

Wilder would be fun. Wilders lack of technique and outright aggression would make to a wild ride. I think it would be a pick em.
Wilders punch resistance seems to have gone since the 2nd fury fight, so I'd lean towards Ngannou who has a solid set of whiskers

Tyson Fury II
Tommy Fury
Poundshop Hulk Hogan aka Gypsy John Fury
If none of these, then back to cage fighting.

I only wish he continues to fight in boxing. I'm so curious to see how he will face other top levels heavyweights...
Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
I don't particularly care, but I figure it'd be interesting to see him fight Anthony Joshua or something maybe.

- Been stated on this forum that AJ won't ever get another title shot, so knowing that, Hearn would be a fool not to offer Francis the AJ fight for double what he made against Flubber who was never a big draw in the UK That was the whole reason he fled to the BobFather and America as the easiest way to the title with the even more disgraced WBC.Finkel wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 21:01 He should fight under the PFL banner. Hearn can sell a fight better than anyone today and made Usyk a bigger star that he already was, the reason the boxing establishment hates him so. Flubber can hook himself up to his buttkicking machine now that he's promoted Francis far beyond most every heavy on the planet.
Francis don't back out of fights like Flubber, so AJ/Francis is where the most immediate $$$ in boxing is right now...
Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
A lot of people hate Fury too much to give Ngannou much credit. But to anyone objective, I think it's evident that Ngannou could be booked next with Usyk, Joshua, or Wilder. When you SD with the lineal champ and do better than Wilder, Whyte, etc. you should be able to get those kind of bookings. Even though it could be argued that Fury underperformed compared to his usual abilities, which would take away from Ngannou's estimation.
For Usyk / Joshua / Wilder, if they could make good money fighting Ngannou, and if they could earn props by beating Ngannou, then I think they should want to do it. It's obviously more money than they're gonna make from fighting Zhang or Ruiz. Wilder definitely isn't gonna get another Fury fight, and Usyk / Joshua aren't going to fight each other again, and it's possible that Fury isn't motivated to fight Usyk or Joshua next. So it's clear that there's only a few good-paying options for each of them. Usyk can fight Wilder or Ngannou. Joshua can fight Wilder or Ngannou. Wilder can fight Joshua, Ngannou, or Usyk (but there's probably not a lot of money in fighting Usyk). I should also point out that Ngannou's competitiveness against Fury makes him a bigger draw, I think, because his debut was assumed to be a non-competitive mismatch, and now the appearance of competitiveness has increased. Not to mention, with the experience of fighting Fury plus a second training camp, Ngannou should be a better fighter than he was in his first fight.

Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
I doubt Ngannou would beat Chisora to be honest.
As worn out and limited Chisora today is, he would still have enough to outbox Ngannou.
The only fight that makes sense for Ngannou is a Tyson Fury rematch for more money. He would lose more clearly but no doubt last till the final bell.

I think people are getting a bit carried away with Ngannou's admittedly above expectations performance.
Francis deserves all the credit in the world, but you have to be honest and admit that Fury did not train properly.
He was probably lulled into a false sense of security by Ngannou's laughable training videos and to be fair to him, I understand fully.
Fury is the HW champion of the world going up against someone who had never boxed professionally, so why should he have to?
There is the possibility that Fury is on the slide and it only became apparent during the fight when he couldn't impose himself on Ngannou.
It's vaguely similar to when Ali lost to Spinks; Muhammad didn't train properly for a 7 fight novice and only realised he was slipping during the fight when he could not subdue the relentless Spinks.
Ali of 10 years earlier, or even as recently 3 years earlier would have beaten Spinks at a canter without a full training camp, but not so the 36 year old Muhammad.,
Ali trained diligently for the rematch and beat Spinks easily, I think Fury is going to have to do the same thing if he rematches Ngannou and if he does, I think he beats Ngannou widely.
Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
He can punch that's for sure.
His output is low and he doesn't know how to lead up, little fluidity and lots of telegraph.
But when you're 270 + power plays a large role in dictating things.

Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
I think Ngannou would destroy Chisora. Chisora is basically a smaller Ngannou. Yeah he's a better boxer but he's mainly just a big durable guy, and that won't matter at all against Ngannou who is much bigger and much more durable. And punches much harder.tonyevs wrote: ↑31 Oct 2023, 03:17 I doubt Ngannou would beat Chisora to be honest.

There's a reason Chisora is a lifetime gatekeeper, he's durable enough to give anyone a challenge but not good enough to beat anyone good. He always gets outboxed, against Ngannou he'd get outslugged for once.

Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
Well Tyson has certainly helped his mate get some big boxing paydays should he go again at the code. Which I think is great given how poorly he was getting paid in UFC.
You can put him in with Wilder, AJ or even Zhang. I think they all KO Ngannou as he is open right down the middle (So Zhang, AJ and Wilder in that order in likelihood to beat him).
But as I say he's definitely earned another big payday out of it so let's hope he gets one (or two) without getting hurt out there. Especially if he has a night of multiple big shots.

With Fury's little nick ruling him out for December 23rd, the Saudi's are looking to keep the date with a Ngannou vs Zhang/Parker main event.

Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
This whole thing sums up why boxing is not in a good place.
When you consider that JAKE PAUL is he highest paid 'boxer' in the USA & when you conisder that Francis Ngannou got paid more for one fight than many of the top HW contenders will get paid in their entire careers, then you know that boxing has jumped the shark.
I give Ngannou all the credit in the world, but we don't need to see him fighting every top 5 HW in the world.
Please, can we just get on with the business of HW boxing again?
Fury/Usyk needs to happen soon & happen next.
In the meantime, the big boys like Wilder, Joshua, Zhang & Ruiz et al need to get on the telephone (a device that was last popular in the 1990s) & arrange some fights with each other, so that we can have the HW division back.
Ngannou can go back to MMA or whatever, or go & spend more time with the money he made from fighting Fury.

Re: What do you want next for Francis ngannou?
Hearn understands why Ngannou cannot face someone like Chisora or Zhang. For the same reason that Conor couldn't take a warmup against Floyd -- he might be exposed as not really belonging at the top of the sport.
Sounds like Ngannou wants a rematch with Fury, one of his coaches wants him to return to MMA to face Jon Jones. Most likely imo is Anthony Joshua. This will be the next step in Joshua's rebuilding phase and Francis gets another chance to shock the world.
(However good Ngannou was stepping into the ring last Saturday, surely he is better now after going ten rounds with the Gypsy King?)

That's a great idea.
You've got fight fans pitting him against all the other top heavies, as if he would have some sort of chance, so why not a Christmas song & a cook book?
While we're at it, he could try his hand at being Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and run the 100m at next year's Olympics in between fighting the top 10 HWs in the world.
