Regarding this contest, which took place at Bristol, someone has added the lines :

Decision not 7th round TKO for Paterson per Bristol Evening Post (research of Miles Templeton and Richard Ireland).Although Cornishman newspaper has tko 7...Cornishman - Thursday 22 May 1941

I have to admit to a mistake here, my records had the bout going the distance, which it didn't. It was stopped in the seventh when Hazelgrove's corner threw in the towel. The result will need updating as it is currently incorrect. Sorry!
