Charlie Edwards splits with Joe Gallagher (acrimoniously)

Post by Steveh583 »

Anyone know what it was about? On twitter Edwards has said "I've got no time for the man".

The exact reason for the split is not clear, but Edwards hinted that there was some disagreement or conflict between them. He said that he was not happy with the way Gallagher handled his career, and that he felt "let down" by him.

I suspect it's entirely made up.

Both as annoying as each other, could you imagine how a conversation would go with them. Not actually sure who's worse

It's hard to think of many other British fighters in recent history who've committed career suicide so effectively as Charlie Edwards. Never lost his world title in the ring, just three small hall fights since 2019.

Lerrone Richards springs to mind, but at least he's with Wasserman now.

not sure Coco, he just seemed to disappear after 2019. I can't find anything online. I remember he beat Selby, did not know he also beat Charlie in the ams. He was an MTK fighter so don't know if their demise was linked to him stopping boxing. Still only young too.

I can imagine, Gallagher might be slightly relieved then.
