How old is Joey now? He's been a Journeyman boxer for quite a while it seems at this point.

busy times for mr d.
joey won both his fights in the team combat league recently, and has 2 more on friday vs luciano sanchez. given that he was a world amateur champ, maybe this is a good format for him. i remember watching those live back in the day and joey beat a towering german dude. bivol and oscar valdez were in that tourny too. he is also back in 'normal' pro boxing on the 27th this month vs 7-1 walter burns in philly
13 fight card pretty loaded with recognizable names

that 1 round sh!t is so stupid.... but its even stupider when you have 2 fights one night, and both are vs the same guy....
so you have a 1 round UD and a 1 round UD instead of just a 2 round UD....
I mean if they are getting paid, fair. geeeze its grim.

It’s actually really cool! It’s a great concept. 24 rounds, fresh guys each round. It’s action packed! And they are paying well! So you do have a chance of fighting the same guy twice, but it won’t always happen. It’s a strategy in the “money rounds” cause the home team has an advantage of who fights in the money rounds. Great concept, very happy to be part of it!gregregegg wrote: ↑14 Apr 2024, 01:10 that 1 round sh!t is so stupid.... but its even stupider when you have 2 fights one night, and both are vs the same guy....
