Boxing is broken.

A potential Josh v Wilder fight is years past its sell by date already but still the greedy protagonists want to keep milking the fans for more and more cash with 2nd rate fights.

Elite boxers should be paid less, it might encourage them to fight more often and in more meaningful fights

for this stage of aj's career i actually think it's not a bad fight. but its not one to get the veins pumping and of course it's a shame we missed out on mega fights when they were at their hottest

boxing too often gets its wired cross, so that instead of good matches between A vs B and C v D, we get A vs C and B vs D

Wallin is a real chance against this version of A.J.

I think what makes it exciting is no one really knows what is left, if he will continue to box conservatively (or more intelligently) or revert to the old AJ. He must really want to regain belts as he's beyond wealthy.

So has FW been muscled out of this show?

He says there is going to be an exciting announcement, but Ngannou isn’t on the bill or hardly any of his fighters.

Dubois, Moses Itauma are definitely on. Tunde Ajajai said it looks like Anthony Yarde will also be added to the card.

Mmmm but none of the top of the bill attractions?

Something odd here! Maybe a two legged show?

If there is cooperation between Eddie and FW here, it really does show the power of the petro dollar!

It’s not a 2 legged show. The date was suppoed to be for Fury & Usyk and The Saudis want to do something big & Frank didn’t have anybody else to top it.
.
Crazy as it may sound, it looks like Eddie was actually struggling to get AJ out. 12 months ago they would have done AJ v Wallin themselves, but now it looks like to me like the no’s no longer add up. If I’m correct, Saudi coming in to host as part of a mega show solves a lot of issues.

Wilder is basically a free promotional agent, same as Parker. Hrgovic is a free agent etc etc

That's what I've heard. Be interesting to see what kind of reception my boy Sailta gets, especially in the current climate.

Wallin will give a decent account of himself, but I don't suspect Joshua will need any help to legitimately beat him.

i think 8-4 iirc, but wallin did the biggest damage and aside from the cuts hurt fury in the 12th

:TU: If it is AJ-Wallin and Wilder-Parker, AJ has the much harder assignment.

I don’t know if Wallin is the tougher job. He had a very close fight with Kamil Sokolowski not so long ago whilst AJ has decent experience now of training for a southpaw.

The Joyce fight may have taken a fair bit from Parker but the stoppage was more to being worn down in my opinion than him now having a poor chin. It’s difficult to tell how much the Fury fights took out of Wilder too plus he’s been inactive.

I quite like both fights to be honest and it’s clearly a stacked card so I’ll be buying it.
