Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
I think Fury gives himself a good chance and believes he can win on his best form, but being outboxed would underscore his entire career and his behaviour indicates that burden.
For Usyk it's the difference between a standard HoF entry and legendary status.

if fury's constantly sniffling and making weird faces and ultra amped up because he's using cocaine again, now is a good time to stop
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
A handful of posters on here have spent the past 8 months claiming Fury is scared of Usyk.
Boxing fans are pleased the fight’s on.

Fury was gurning the same and unable to follow the interview before the Ngannou fight too.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 00:21 if fury's constantly sniffling and making weird faces and ultra amped up because he's using cocaine again, now is a good time to stop
After his erratic showing yesterday I'd guess his powder habit is at an all time high. No surprises if things reach breaking point before February and we have the expected Fury retirement etc

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
I think Fury is a bit intimidated by Uysk.
Without the Saudi money he wasn't going to box Uysk ( hence the absurd 70/30 split demands*) and now, after the Ngannou debacle, and boxing fans around the world questioning his desire to fight the best, he finds himself cornered.
His behaviour yesterday reflected this. I hope he stays off the uncastrated wild boar.
* I was shocked that the pay per view numbers for the Ngannou fight were so low, after all the promotion and the Netflix series. Perhaps not quite the box office star he claimed to be in his Uysk negotiations earlier this year.

Fury is as popular as his mate BJS nowadays.
As others have commented here - he is embarrassing for British people who he is representing abroad ... and at home he is embarrassing for the Traveller community he claims to be part of.
It was funny seeing Stallones face as Fury ranted away. Clearly unimpressed and quickly moved towards Usyk team ..
Fury taking his toxic brand to even lower depths.

He had to take the fight else he would be dealing with a lawsuit of mammoth proportions. He's definitely rattled, you could see it his interview yesterday.
Cornered.

Fury's demeanor all changed when he lost to a debutant, I think it's ruined his fragile mentality.

Who is most likely to win in their next proposed bout?
Parker? Wallin? Or Fury?

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
WELL... This show and all the Saudi shows are money losing enterprises IMO. There is so much obviously enforced 'thankyou so much to his excellency, the best man in the universe' etc that I wondered if they would be happy with screaming, shouting and swearing as they are very much about appearances, excluding of course, their horrific human rights stance which seems to be a don't ask/don't tell situation.Monzon83 wrote: ↑16 Nov 2023, 21:12I doubt it, for them the publicity this brings is worth the cash and these antics are all part of that.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑16 Nov 2023, 18:35 And the Saudis funding this have no problem with Fury behaving like that?
I feel more embarrassed for the UK, having this loathesone cretin represent the British nation. Brits abroad are already despised, now we get this pikey buffoon acting like a complete tit. It only serves to make the UK even more of a laughing stock in the eyes of the world.

Interesting poll. The vote is split right down the middle. About half for Fury and half for Usyk.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
Despite Fury’s glaring physical advantages, he isn’t half the man or fighter that Usyk is mentally. He doesn’t have that fearlessness and thirst for a challenge. He likes the scales weighted in his favour.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 07:51 Interesting poll. The vote is split right down the middle. About half for Fury and half for Usyk.

You didn`t expect a reply off Marc did you?
The randomness of the question suggests It was just another of his bizarre deflections to somehow protect Fury`s honour

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
You'd think Fury would be a clear favourite. 6" taller, 7" reach advantage, outweighing Usyk by possibly 50lbs, a giant of a sexy sportsperson, taking on a 'little, ugly, middleweight, sausage, rabbit'. Yet, some now see Usyk as the one to beat him.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
Fury's team made 2 offers to Usyk which Usyk walked away from, so the Knitting Circle declared that Fury was scared.
Fury's team have managed to make the fight and now the Knitting Ciircle have declared that Fury is "cornered".

Thank God that Big John wasn't at the presser (well, he was in spirit with Tyson's antics).
Here's what Dominic Negus (covering security) had to say about him during the Ngannou build up.
“There was never going to be trouble over there, only John Fury changing his nappy again!” he joked in an interview with Daily Star Sport. “I mean that guy is just a melt. He thinks it’s the f****** John Fury show, it’s a joke. It’s all about him.
“You’ve got your son fighting, let the boy do his job. You had your chance years ago, you weren’t a good fighter anyway back in the day. All you are now is a big, overgrown bully.
“How many times has he said he’s going to smack people? He’s f****** smacked no one. Sometimes you need to be quiet, it ain’t your night, it’s your boy’s night.
“But it was a great show to be involved in, it was a great honour. We were there for Queensberry Promotions overseeing the whole show. As for Tyson [Fury], he must have 20 or 30 people wiping his a*** and half of them are there for the ride. There were so many hangers-on there."

The betting agencies have Fury the clear favourite. Would no doubt have been an even shorter favourite had he performed better against Ngannou.
