He had a sholder-injury!
Now, do you really beleive that Byrd beat Vitali? On the paper, yes!
A fit for fight Vitali would beat Burd 99 times out of 100!
because vitali lacks toughness. 2 rounds to go in a championship fight vs a feather fisted bryd?? you gotta be a warrior! you gotta be hungry to keep ur title! quitschko could have easily sucked it up and survived the last 2 rounds.....all he needed to do was survive. a shot evander holyfield fought 12 rounds vs chris bryd with the smae injury vitali had and evander had no chance of winning!
u think a gatti, marciano, lamotta, basillio, ali would quit in that exact same situation?
quitschko lacks toughess. if vitali made it that far......then he can make it through the last 2 rounds. think of the circumstances.......he had the fight won, feathe fisted bryd stood no chance of knocking out vitali so there was no risks, and vitali was champion defending his title! wheres the warrior mentality? doesnt the championship mean something?
you think marciano thought about quitting when his nose was cut open running like a faucet? u think it didnt hurt? imagine if marciano quit cause the "pain" was too much.
