Tyrell Biggs vs Dillian Whyte
Tyrell Biggs vs Dillian Whyte
Who ya got, and why?
Re: Tyrell Biggs vs Dillian Whyte
Whyte would win by KO sometime between the fifth and eighth rounds. He was almost as quick and athletic as Biggs, and had major advantages in strength, power, durability, and offensive skills.
I can't say how it would play out in the ring, on a blow-by-blow or round-by-round basis. But a Whyte stoppage win would be inevitable.
Something that makes this fight difficult to analyze is that Biggs never really had a prime. He had superb talent and potential, but for some reason, never matured into the fighter he should have been.

Blimey, it took prime Mike Tyson seven rounds. You must think a lot of Dillian.

Re: Tyrell Biggs vs Dillian Whyte
I might be in the minority, but I think I'd actually pick Biggs here. He had all the attributes to outbox Whyte.
Thing is, as a pro, Biggs is mostly remembered for his fight with Tyson. And it is thought to be that Tyson fight ruined him. But he did give Riddick Bowe a good fight in 1991, before getting stopped. And he also had couple of fine wins before facing Tyson (in particular, Biggs defeated James Tillis)
If anything, Biggs has a better pedigree than Whyte. He also had a fine footwork and most likely he'd try to make Whyte come to him. And Dillian actually is more successful as a counterpuncher. He prefers people to come at him, where he'd try to lure them into an exchange and catch them with a thudding left hook.
But when Whyte is forced to fight on a front foot and chase his opponent, he becomes somewhat of a plodder who swings punches and opens himself up for a return fire. Tyson Fury was especially successful in making Whyte fight that way, before turning his lights off with an uppercut.
Biggs could make him fight that way, too. And he had tools to outbox Whyte from the outside. Whether he'd have been able to implement that plan is a question. But I'd give him a shot to do so.

Biggs UD.
Tall, rangy and quick. Dillian is ok, all round, but i doubt he the speed and power to win this. Dillian, as an aggressor, is a bit
slow and plodding. Biggs would outslick and sting him, from the outside.

Well, seems like I'm not alone here
We're on the same page in respect to this match-up.

Biggs to outbox Whyte behind his jabs and combinations at long range to take a decision.

Re: Tyrell Biggs vs Dillian Whyte
the Biggs who beat Snipes in a pretty good fight has enough skill and power to beat Whyte via late tko
Re: Tyrell Biggs vs Dillian Whyte
He was a bit fragile Biggs and Whyte is a rough customer. I think he stops Biggs late.
Re: Tyrell Biggs vs Dillian Whyte
My reasoning involves size: Dillian had at least 30 lbs on Biggs, all of it muscle. I'm just doubtful that Tyrell could compensate for that bulk.
