Joshua vs 'Big Baby' Miller next?

Post by Redback Rasta »

Do not discount the possibility.

Should Miller beats Dubois, expect him to call out Joshua and...

Well, we'll see.

I know that Joshua vs Miller was being flirted with a handful of years ago, so I guess the possibility could be revived if Miller beats Dubois (who's British, so it even better enhances Miller as a villain in England). Miller trash talked Joshua during the press conference. But there's a few facts that I find reduce the risk of this happening...
-Dubois is going to beat Miller. ... I think.
-It's time for Joshua - Wilder next, regardless of who wins in Dubois - Miller. I can't guarantee it, but it's time, and it's by far their best money-making option. And I think they probably wouldn't want to continue putting the fight in jeopardy of not happening.

I'm not at all confident that Miller can beat DDD.
If he had a bit better defence, then maybe. But I feel he is going to eat too many of Doobie's powers shots and may even get stopped.
If he can pull off the win, then at tbis stage of Joshua's career, its a decent fight.

I hope Dubois beats Miller, as it would remove one further obstacle to Joshua-Wilder becoming a reality. The way Hearn is currently talking up 'the beef between Joshua and Miller' he is giving the distinct impression he is trying to wriggle Miller in ahead of Wilder.

Bloody Eddie eh?
Miller is performing sub par now without the juice, he really isn't in the mix in my view. But if Eddie thinks he is, then who are we to doubt the man who gave us chick fights as headliners? :maybe:

It was scheduled and about a month from happening when Miller popped for PEDs (the first time)

When Miller was to fight Joshua in 2019 and tested positive it was for the second time. His first positive test happened in 2014, while he was a kickboxer.

So the guy Hearn is talking up right now as a Joshua opponent already has 2 strikes. How ironic would it be if he tested positive again for a proposed Joshua fight

I've been doing some irony calculations and I've determined that the most ironic thing that could happen would be if the fight was canceled due to Joshua testing positive while Miller testing clean.

it wouldnt be ironic at all if a multiple time ped cheat tested positive again, it would be the opposite of in fact :TU:

I just can't imagine Miller beating DD. That long of a lay off and scandals... Dubois is a quitter, but the dude is a proficient fighter. I'd expect to see Joshua/DD and Miller goes back to irrelevancy. Sad because Miller did look like a solid candidate early in his career, but that time is long gone imo. I've not seen him fight since his layoff, though.

I've got this feeling that Dubois is going to bang Miller out; I sincerely hope so anyway.

Miller is a misfit these days and blew his chance at the big time by cheating.

:TU: I have absolutely no sympathy for him. He not only cheated leading up to tue Joshua fight, but given how different he has been since- I feel that was not the only fight he was juiced up for.

miller will either pull out with feigned injury / get caught doping or get battered by Dubois .
no good options there .

people keep saying he looks so different now, which makes me wonder if they ever saw him fight before

the miller you got vs brown is par for the course miller. start slow, then by the third round start beating on the guy. he dropped the first 2 rounds to guys like bogdan dinu back in his 'prime' too because he wasnt doing anything early. and why would anyone trust a 3 time ped cheat to stop using now either. i have little doubt he's on something

dubois may well beat his arse, cuz he is easy to hit and slow, but i wont be surprised if miller just outlasts him and we see dubs stopped late again

Miller was intriguing because he was huge and had a high workrate. But it was because of ped use so im assuming he will gas badly

He v dub is a good matchup

I hope you are right but Miller has a bloody good chin and I don't think he has ever been off his feet, let alone stopped.

I’m almost certain Wilder v Joshua won’t happen and they will try and make AJ vs either Miller or, if he avoids banning (again), Dillian Whyte.

miller showed that chin vs browne too, it's not just something he's lost after his ban

Yeah, I don't think Wilder is any more on the radar now than he ever was for Joshua and Hearn talking up a beef with Miller and chasing a 3rd title, is consistent with that assumption.

You are correct, he popped in Glory before he did in boxing, but he's popped twice in boxing, first before Joshua, then before Jerry Forrest

So he really has three strikes against him already

you said three strikes and you are probably going to fight joshua - I mentioned a repeat drug user and joshua rival who is close to three strikes himself, it's right in line and on topic with the statement you made in your post above :TU:

i wonder what other fighters are close to their third strike? maybe if luis ortiz blows another test he could beat miller to the aj fight, since '3 strikes and you are probably going to fight joshua'

miller better hope other repeat drug offenders like fury and ortiz dont blow any tests and give his potential fight vs aj competition in the '3 strikes and you are probably going to fight joshua' race
