first fight on, looks like a good crowd there. no commentary thus far but they usually do some in a bit.

2-0 lee gormly was upset by plucky journeyman karl sampson, who was much shorter but really wanted the win and put it on gorm. other than that all the house boxers won

the lithuanian who flatley fought was lively for a while and tbf has upset some decent upsets in his bag, but he couldnt keep his mouthpiece in and got tired pretty quickly. flatley decent workman like body attack. that said i wouldnt have stopped it when the ref did, and 2 of the 3 kds were obvious pushes down on the head

youngster owen anderton had good hands but a bit of a crudeness to his general body movement and feet. not surprised to hear he only had 5 am fights. with some refining i think he could prob go further than most of the home fighters on the card. stopped a guy who had only been stopped twice in about 20 losses (albeit both stoppages were this year so maybe declining durability)

lythgoe and goulding both looked limited plodders in outpointing their opponents. goulding was especially unimpressive, but if it means anything he can take pride in being especially handsome too

howarth was decently mobile and fluid. more relaxed than most of the other fighters, though strikes me as someone who might struggle to dent better opponents. might be able to do something at area level.

if i could only put one of them on my watch list, it would probably be anderton. he showed potential offensively and has lots of time to work with.

i enjoy being able to watch all levels of boxing, but endless a side shutouts is a bit much. you do get occasional upsets and we saw one here, but when people see ahead of time it's house fighter vs 5-27, it doesn't inspire many of them to check the fight out when the time comes

if they could add even 1 50/50 fight on paper to a card like this and keep them free on stream, it would make them much more hypable to me. hell even 60-40, just something where you look at the match and think each guy is in with a real chance to win
