I know a guy who hurt his leg playing sunday football did'nt go to the hosp instead got a couple work mates to pick him up from home , go with them to work , where they lifted him out the car placed him on the floor at the site , then called an ambulance claiming he tripped , then he claimed workers compo , Him his mates felt it would be OK because insurance would pay , but never took into account , the fact that i had to pay his first months wages out of my pocket before insurance kicked in , plus the inconvienience down a worker very busy ect ect , plus my premiums went up ..

Idiots never took into account i had cctv on the job site it was all on camera , plus i myself had played for that same club years before and knew most the players , i was a sponsor , total Idiots , who all got sacked .

Anyway , i place Smiths fight the same he knew he was injured and blatantly CONNED the paying public , which amounts to You , Me , and hard working people who payed to watch an even fight and be entertained , instead they got conned , Promoters should stay well clear off Smith and his whole team from now on

Good analogy although I don’t actually think Smith came into the fight with an injury. I just think he was massively underprepared for it with a rushed camp primarily focusing on him making weight.

WELL… it really depends on firstly IF he was injured before the contest and if so, how badly.
Almost every boxer goes into every contest with SOMETHING not 100%.
If he felt it was ‘not perfect’ then that’s different to knowing that he was fqed and only going in there to stand up for as long as he could manage with no chance of winning.

But a guy going into a fight injured doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be entertaining.

Haye knew his Achilles was absolutely ruined before the first Bellew fight yet that was hugely entertaining

“I’d loved that to happen,” Smith said of a potential trilogy with Eubank in an interview with Boxing News. “If you ask me right now, I’d pay money out of my own pocket to fight Chris again. That’s one that eats away at me. He’s probably going to take that win and go elsewhere instead of trying to make a trilogy and beat me convincingly next time. But we’ll see.
