Haney .... No Power

It's a good win for Devin.
He has no power of punch.

Is it a flaw for Dimitri Bivol too?

I'm tired of this stupid argument as if he needs one shot power to be successful. He just proved he has enough at 140 to hurt one of the top guys who doesn't get hurt often. I never heard y'all complaining that Josh Taylor didn't have power or Dimitri Bivol lacks power. I wonder why?

he had enough power to rock a guy with a very good chin several times, and sit him on his backside.

Devin looks a pure bred boxer.
He probably won't adjust well to weight jumps but perform at his weight whatever it will be.

I'm being picky, that's how it goes when you're boxing at the top level with fans like me.
You're right though, Haney looked good I'm just looking for something that separates him from the others.
Considering his age he has everything going for him.
Still can't help but think if his ko level today is where it has been previously, that it might not get better as he goes up in weight.

Haney will just keep boxing his opponent's ears off whether people appreciate it or not.

According to the Pound for Pound lists in most years. Tis better to be a Great Boxer than a Great Puncher.

I'm sure most fans prefer Hard hitting Power fighters. I'm sure most fans would be rooting for Tank if he were to fight Haney.

I'm also sure all of those fans would be disappointed when Tank got outboxed, and couldn't apply his power with any sort of consistent success.

Way she goes. That's why they call it The Sweet Science.

- Boxrec current p4p to follow, but noteworthy is current p4p #1 by my ratings would be Usyk, a consummate boxer currently Boxrec #15, heresy to be sure.

I'd have Inoue #2, a fantastical record as boxer and demolition expert, so at least he's got some recognition.

Canelo with a sterling career a fine boxer/puncher #3

Craw boxer/puncher who can't draw flies at the end of his career prob #4 is a deadly puncher greatly overrated by his demolition of a clearly shot Spence who was just trying to cash out his Ferrari wrecked career.

I wouldn't rank Benavidez p4p #5, but he's clearly a deadly puncher and better than the rest save perhaps Loma who is difficult to rank because of such a unique career as a certified p4per, but #6 fine by me.

Chris Eubank and Leigh Wood P4P and the rest over Usyk? Damn, that Boxrec Rating Koolaide gotta be Timothy Leary psychodelic.

Haney could be one of those guys who develops power later on. His wide shoulders and long arms should be able to generate good torque.
He did stun Prograis a couple of times, which is saying something.
I'm on the fence, let's see in a couple of years.

Good chance he can take Gervonta Davis at Welterweight.
