I notice a lot is being made of Prograis not being able to land on the fleet footed Haney
And It's was a woeful effort by Prograis. But at the end of the day Haney is not coming to trade, and nothing wrong with that, he comes to box and move.
But Haney actually threw less punches than Fury in the Klitschko bout. Which many deride as being "an acquired taste" when it comes to championship bouts.
As a hometown fighter, that is pretty abysmal.

only seen highlights, but it was one of those fights where ya it was boring, but you gotta respect that ability to shut a guy down like that.
have always wanted to see teo vs dev......
matias is out there at 140 looking pretty beastly too
there is plenty history between garcia and haney
the wbss generation was cool but their time is up

Wow, so few posts on a title fight between two top fighters. No charisma?

30 punches a round for welters

So it was a clinical effort with one guy thoroughly shutting out the other in a boring fashion then? I saw the scores were all 120-107. Fights tend not to be exciting when they're so lopsided like that.

it was just like prograis's last fight, except instead of a c level version of haney, he got the real deal. amazingly, reeg had even lower connect percentage last fight vs zorrila, per compubox
check that 2nd round - 0 out of 43

That was not the FOTY I was hoping for.
Regis was just a half step behind Haney, which was enough to get pretty much shut down.
These last two performances from Prograis could well be his level now.
Father time

Seen claims Haney was 165lb in the ring… that’s MMA levle weight cutting.
If true Haney is to big for tank, if that fight happens it won’t be about who’s a better fighter, it will be about who negotiate the better weight class/hydration clause.
Side not, If so makes Lomas close result pretty impressive, likely giving away 15-20 lbs.
