I don't mind this one. Neither are too old at 40.
Guerrero has only been out of the game for 2 years. Berto it has been 5 years.
I'd have to favor Guerrero quite heavily.
It's not like this id James Toney with brain damage. These guys still have their brains about them

Good. A rematch between these two in different amounts of severe decline is the best way to clarify which one was better in their primes. This is the most important thing happening in boxing right now.

I'm glad that Guerrero has brought Berto out of a 5 years retirement to follow up after Guerrero brought Victor Ortiz out of a 3.5-year retirement. I hope that this is all ultimately building up to Guerrero vs Kostya Tszyu.

Yes, you could say that my post might have contained some jokes.

So, is there a reasonable chance the rematch could be as fun as the original?

If I remember right that was a FOTY candidate back in the day.

I'm all for a fun fight and I just don't care if the fighters should or should not be in ring.
I still do things people say I should stop at my age(55).
Let the boxers keep going if they can do it.

If they do it I hope Berto gets his revenge. I never did like Guerrero.
