Devin Haney vs Devon Alexander @140

Post by EdwardRevolver1993 »

Devin Haney (fresh off his win over Prograis) against Devon Alexander (who unified belts by stopping Urango).

Who wins this one at 140?

it ends up being a no contest, because all the spectators and judges die of boredom before it can be finished

i would go haney, but this would be an awful style match up

You're most likely correct. Somehow, when I was creating this match-up, I didn't put enough thought into how unwatchable it might appear.

I would take Haney too, by the way. I think, Alexander was susceptible to straight punches. Haney's straight right hand would've been effective against a southpaw Alexander and he would win a decision.

It probably would've been a more competitive fight than the one we saw today, though.

If Haney retired tomorrow he's already a good bit more accomplished than Devon Alexander. I'd say that gives you your answer.

But it's not necessarily an answer to who would've won their head-to-head match-up. Although, I'd have picked Haney.

Alexander didn't leave up to expectations, but he has some solid wins.
