Re: Kell Brook might be returning
Why not a fight with Benn , Kell did'nt get smacked about his whole carreer , people knock the fight with GGG , BUT if it gave him life changing money why not , that one hard fight would of took les out of him than another half dozen against reasonable guys to get the same money it was a big fight for big money and its profesional boxing , i'm sure Kell sparred light heavys , who hit just has hard has GGG grab the cash , a fight with Benn would earn him millions , and would Benn hammer him , were talking a Benn without the peds here , does he have the skills to hammer a fit , strong motivated Kell Brooks

I'm not sure Kell has the right skillset or charisma to succeed as a pundit or co commentator. There's a gaucheness about him that comes across on tv that isn't very flattering. For example, a Brit in his mid 30s shouldn't really be referring to money as "Benjamins" - it just sounds a bit dafttonyevs wrote: ↑01 Dec 2023, 03:21Froch is Froch, so Kell would be best just being himself and try to get into the pundit/commentry side of things that way.
As difficult it must be for high profile boxers who made millions and then retired in their mid/late 30`s, its got to be a million times harder for the local ticket seller who only made a local reputation to retire in their mid/late 30`s without the millions.
Both typically sacrifice education in pursuit of their boxing dream and as such their CV`s are pretty useless for better paid jobs. Doorman or taxi driver jobs for awhile for lots.
Kell Brook is still in an enviable position. People shouldn`t be too upset.

Kell Brook Open To Conor Benn Clash: I Could Get Out of My Silk Sheets For That and Train Hard
For a supposedly retired fighter, Kell Brook’s name still carries plenty of weight.
Brook officially hung up his gloves after stopping Amir Khan back in February 2022 but - aware that he would still be a high profile and lucrative night’s work for Britain’s light middleweight and middleweight fighters - the former IBF welterweight champion seems unable to shut the door fully on a return to business that has played such a big part in his life.
Brook dominated Khan, ending their long running rivalry in decisive fashion and seemingly bringing an excellent career to an extremely satisfying conclusion. 37-year-old Brook announced his retirement after the fight but in his own words, ‘Never say never.’
“It could be serious but I’m in the shadows at the moment doing my thing,” Brook told BBTV from Fuerteventura where he was ticking over in the gym and enjoying some warm weather.
“I’m retired and we’re getting into something deep here but, listen, I’m always up for a challenge and if it makes sense for me and the right amount of Benjamins we could do it.
“Unless they come serious, I’m happily retired with my pipe and slippers.”
The seemingly endless Chris Eubank Jnr - Conor Benn rigmarole recently rumbled on into its 14th month.
To give some idea of how long the saga has been going on, Brook beat Khan eight months before Benn’s adverse analytical finding caused the cancelation of his scheduled October 202 clash with Eubank Jnr.
Still, despite his retirement, Brook’s name has never been far from the news as he has been mentioned as an alternative opponent for both fighters. If Eubank Jnr and Benn can’t cut through the red tape and settle their business in the ring, Brook is well ware that his phone may just ring.
“I’m the biggest name. If I come out of retirement and announce I’m fighting one of them two, we’ve got a sell out straight away so, you know, it’s there,” he said.
Brook admitted that a Benn fight would be particularly tempting.
“Yeah. I think so. I could get out of my silk sheets for that and train hard. I don’t know if they [Eubank and Benn] are fighting each other but I’ll be watching.”

Brook looking for a payday. Benn looking for an opponent who might not care the BBBofC aren't invited to the party.

Brook should not be fighting again against anyone with any ambition. He looked shot when he beat Khan and that was near on 2 years ago and it was just over 3 years ago when Crawford stopped him.coneye wrote: ↑12 Dec 2023, 04:44Jeff Horn ,,, Whaaaat , you want to see that poor guy get killed , don't you like Aussies , Horn is absolutly gone , Shot to peices , Kaput, finished , Tim Tzyu Mmmm theres an interesting onegregregegg wrote: ↑12 Dec 2023, 04:21 Theres actualy a few kell brook fights that interest me.

Love Kell Brook.
Great servant to the sport - in some good fights, one of the great ringwalks, and paid to go see him a couple of times.
I'd hate to see him box again.
I always go with the line that who are we to tell fighters who are past their peak that they should stop, but at the same time, anyone involved with trying to entice them back need to take a long hard look at themselves...

I agree with that Gareth. Also a big fan. His final fight was a fitting end, would hate him to tarnish it now.
Re: Kell Brook might be returning
My bad, it was Kermit Cintron that studied radiography, not Kendal Holt
Re: Kell Brook might be returning

3 years inactive…. Good bit of time for the brain to recover… I don’t know if he was shot to bits, been in plenty of wars sure but I think tszyu was just much better than he ever was… still only 35, I think him and brook would be interesting. Brook better, horn tougher…coneye wrote: ↑12 Dec 2023, 04:44Jeff Horn ,,, Whaaaat , you want to see that poor guy get killed , don't you like Aussies , Horn is absolutly gone , Shot to peices , Kaput, finished , Tim Tzyu Mmmm theres an interesting onegregregegg wrote: ↑12 Dec 2023, 04:21 Theres actualy a few kell brook fights that interest me.

it was low on my list and kinda a joke due to him being retired, but I’d watch the fornicate out of it if horn has been staying fit… (if he is 200+lb and would have to go to fat camp then I would not be interested). I do hope he stays retired though.

Retired is definetly the place for him , can't remember if i dreamt it or not but pretty sure i read somewhere damage was rearing its ugly head with him , he was showing bad signs wante to quit and retain his marbles , losing his memory ,type of , things well i'm pretty sure i read or seen it in an interview , but then again sometimes i think i'm losing mine , wife says i amgregregegg wrote: ↑12 Dec 2023, 22:493 years inactive…. It wouldn’t generate the dough he’s require, but brook vs eggington would be fun at this stage

“Benjamins” specifically refers to US one hundred dollar bills, as Benjamin Franklin's face is on the $100 bill. The phrase, “it's all about the Benjamins” means “it's all about the money.” In other words, money is all that matters.

Fighting Khan was perfect for him as Khan was ageing/aged as well.
If he gets in with a decent boxer in their prime he’s gonna be on the end of a heavy defeat.

“Boxing’s dead without me” - Kell Brook reveals two opponents he will come out of retirement for
However, speaking to LuckyBlock, ‘The Special One’ has revealed that, due to Benn’s ongoing drug testing fiasco, a fight with Brighton braggart Eubank Jr. is a more attractive move for the Sheffield fighter, assuming that he receives the right financial incentives.
“In the driving seat for me, if I did come back, would be Chris Eubank,” Brook revealed. “The reason being, is that Conor Benn has got these drug allegations over his head and he’s not sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control, so he’s a bit out of the picture. But, obviously, the two names there are the names that could excite me and get me back into the ring.
“If the right figures got mentioned I could put the pipe and slippers away, get the running trainers back on and get on the road. I’m retired at the minute, but I’d be willing to talk about those fights and possibly have one last dance.”
Brook feels that boxing has taken a turn for the worse since he has retired. Perhaps ‘Special K’ could breathe some fresh joy back into the sport if he decides to step back into the ring for a final time.
“Everywhere I go people are saying that they want me out of retirement, that boxing’s dead without me. There’s not really been anything exciting; bar me and Khan, what fights have been out there that have really got the juices flowing? There’s been none.”

Ran out of cash has he
Re: Kell Brook might be returning
Kell’s got enough dough.
One last hurrah maybe against the right oppo.
And we get “All of the Lights” one more time.
Imagine Kell without the orbital fractures?
Coming on v Spence
GGG doing very well until
Its a bit maybe I know but Kell in those fights.
Bud ok. I know a step too far at that stage with damage.
Not sure CEJ is the fight. Or even Conor.
Coz for them it’s $only.
I’d target Broner.
Re: Kell Brook might be returning
If he has anything left he should beat Conor fairly easily.
That’s a big if though.
