Fury Hammer DQ

Post by 569953 »

Everything I've read about the UKAD decision says Fury was disqualified against Hammer so why isn't the result a loss or a no contest?
Did Fury appeal this decision or did something else happen after that decision?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Cheers

Under the BBBofC rules at the time all decisions were final. They have since implemented new rules to allow for subsequent results to be overturned.

No, it might be still on the BBBofC website.

fury failed a ped test for the fight

that said even when drug cheats are caught , wins arent usually turned into dq losses, mostly no contenst/no decision - e.g. tete vs cunningham.

Yes. He failed two drugs tests (one for Nandrolone, one for coke) and the UKAD's decision was that the 2014 result against Hammer would be a disqualification. Since a DQ during a match ends up being a loss I wondered why Fury's was still down as a win.

UKAD has no authority over boxrec.
Boxrec can post any result they choose to recognize.

There was another fight like this, where the commission changed the result, but on boxrec it stayed the same...

Fury has fouled often and cheated by using PED's. Much like London which is being bight by the Russians, Fury has bought out his share of corruption in boxing.
