Sunny showed a lot of heart there but his lack of pop meant Bam was able to keep making dents while he couldn't and it all caught up with him.

Got to be up there for FOTY top 10, proper fight with shifts in styles and momentum between quality operators. Sunny can be proud of that and humble afterwards too

Same
Perfect result and a nice slow beating to boot .
Maybe he'll be a bit more of a respectful character in future, somehow doubt it .

Just watching this now.

Bam insistent with his jab and countering Sunnys jab to the body. Bam cutting off the ring nicely.

Stylistically it looks a lot like Saldivar vs Howard Winstone, the southpaw pressure fighter and the feather fisted orthodox mover-jabber.

Sunny seems to want to plant his feet when henswitches as a southpaw. Odd move but he did better landing shots even though he took them too.

Really enjoyed everything about the fight, except the DAZN commentary.

It is so bad, over hyping everything, and exaggerating the most minor things.

Brilliant fight, full credit to Edwards he tried to hang with Rodriguez best he could and landed some nice counters but Rodriguez had more quality along with the firepower, kept pressuring round after round and took Edwards apart bit by bit, Sunny was looking busted up but he has no quit and still threw enough to keep Bam thinking, you could sense the ref was thinking seriously about stopping it but Edwards wouldn't let him, still Rodriguez found the breakthrough right at the end of the 9th, huge left hand dropped Edwards hard, compassionate stoppage by his corner,

Excellent scrap, real high end sh1t, Edwards a dog but Rodriguez is elite

Reality can often jolt someone to re-evaluate.

Nice fight. Bam still only 23, so plenty of filling out to do yet too

Absolutely, Bam on another level on the night , Edwards fought the wrong fight , or maybe Bam didn't let him fight his normal style.

He had to try and get some respect from Bam. A proper hard fight and full credit to both lads putting their 0 on the line, need more of that.

I wonder how Sunny will take this loss, I didn't see it but listened on the radio and seems like he was worked over quite easily. Sometimes losses take something away from fighters.

They’re calling him a quitter on Twitter

That’s why I prefer it on here, more knowledgeable types.

Now the dust has settled I can agree Bam was winning it quite handily, think I gave Sunny 2 out of the first 4, mayyyybe 3, but it was all going one way.

Did Sunny choose to engage too much or did he get forced to? I think a bit of both, he tried to earn his respect early on but by the time he should’ve been on his bike Bam was closing, maybe?

Thought he was switching well, landed some great southpaw lefts but where he could normally switch when off the ball cos he had the space, Bam was too close and caught him square on a couple times.
