What I found funny was during Fury-Usyk presser.. Fury said 'your highness'TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑21 Dec 2023, 06:01 Anyone else tired of this a*se licking of "His Excellency" by the boxers and promotors?
He's paying pocket change for these boxers.. The least they can do is lick his backside

It's all part of the sports washing. Convince the world that the not good guy is a good guy and it will no doubt be part of the contract/agreement to repeatedly spout this rubbish.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑21 Dec 2023, 06:01 Anyone else tired of this a*se licking of "His Excellency" by the boxers and promotors?

That's how he's addressed. I don't know why it bothers you about it.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑21 Dec 2023, 06:01 Anyone else tired of this a*se licking of "His Excellency" by the boxers and promotors?

There was boxer, I can't remember who, might have been Hrg or Makh, who referred to him as Mr Turki during the initial presser for Saturday's card. I thought it sounded great in amongst all the 'His Excellency' shite. Mr Turki.
Probably just a mix of presser nerves and english not being their first language.

Maximum rimming is probably demanded as part of the contract, yes it does make me puke a bit though.

I've heard stories that the footballers out there are under strict instructions what they can and can't say. It is a dictatorship after all. Be funny if someone just turned around and said, yeah ok they execute kids for protesting, treat women horrendously and murder journalists which I don't like but they pay the best so that's why I'm here. Not too sure they would get booked again though.joshj909 wrote: ↑21 Dec 2023, 07:02It's all part of the sports washing. I think Saudi will wipe out the premiership as the leading force in football within a decade. Predicting it now.

Well if they can convince pride marching, rainbow wearing friend of the Gay's Jordan Henderson to go out there to help "grow the game". You are probably right.

It is the difference between respect earned, and respect bought.
One means everything, the other means nothing.

From what i've heard, to promote a more liberal SA, at least one of the fights is going to be fought in drag. Rumours are it could be DDD v Big Baby.

Saudi Arabia gets a bad press but credit where it's due .... their stance on lady drivers was admirable until the recent change in the law

Usyk called him Mr Turki after the Ngannou fight, if that's what you're thinking of.The Gratest wrote: ↑21 Dec 2023, 07:29There was boxer, I can't remember who, might have been Hrg or Makh, who referred to him as Mr Turki during the initial presser for Saturday's card. Apart from being obscenely rich, what exactly makes this guy his ‘excellency’. If you aren’t Saudi, why would you address him like that?
It’s a bit creepy and fake.
