I still remember Jesse James Hughes.

Very Exciting and Charismatic individual.

Gone Way too soon. R.i.P.

Had basically no amateur carear, if i remember correctly, so he was essentially learning as he went along as a pro.

Went the distance with Buddy McGirt. I knew Hughes was Very Tough for pulling that off.

His wins over Stephans and Stone were particularly impressive.

Hughes probably would've fought until the age of Around 34-35 I'm guessing/estimating.
He was mostly a Brawler type, so very unlikely he was going to have one of them Really Extended type of Boxing Carears.

I'd say that he was overall in that lower B level category. He went from a lower "C level" to a Lower "B grade level".
He might've eventually reached a mid range B Grade level, or possibly even an upper B grade level, at least briefly.
Hughes would've had some more very exciting bouts I think.
Hard to say who he was very comparable to, in the Boxing Ring, style-wise.
Definitely was an old school Action Brawler though. Very Gritty and Resilient.
